Im worried bout my lil seedlings

Sup guys. After awhile of growing bagseed and practicin the trade, i finally felt i had a lil knowledge to go ahead and get some good seeds. So i got 5 Feminized Snow White from Nirvana. All came and i started the germ process. I plopped em in water till they sank, then put em in some paper towels and they all cracked open. Heres the part that worries me. I put the papertowel on a plate withanother plate on top as a dome effect i guess.....then i put the whole thing on top of my 400W Ballast for some heat (I also had another small plate turned upside down that the Germ plate was sittin on so as not to be touchin the ballast just gettin heat off it). This was all wednesday nite. Thursday morning all were cracked. But i noticed it had gotten a bit hot, at least i think, but the towel was still somewhat moist after sittin all nite...SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the question after all that, im wondering if i cooked my lil babies lol. I know this is dumb but I guess since i actually bought some nice seeds finally, im wantin to make daaaamn good and sure all is well lol. God i feel like a parent whos children are in the ICU or somethin :wall:

Theyre all in soil now as well, put them in thursday nite, nuttin has sprouted yet

You might have just make sure you keep the paper towel moist. I have better success germinating in soil. Last time i did paper towels they dried out to fast to and i lost all those seeds because i put it on top of my cable box for heat. With paper towels i had better success putting them on top of my fridge or in a cupboard. I never had to use extra heat to get them to germinate as long as it was warm or comfortable in the house. I like starting them in soil better, it seems faster and you don't risk ruining the tap root by handling it and putting it in soil. If you put the seed on top of the dirt and push it down a little ( pointy tip of the seed up ) and cover it a little bit with soil and mist it and keep it moist or in a humidity dome like the seed starting trays ( they work great) and have flouros above it. I have better luck and faster results that way but to each his own. everybody has their ways. Good luck

i think they might pull through, i guess i should say i hope they do

it can take a few days for them to crack the soil, lets hope you find some little sprouts in the morning

With the emergency seed in mind...how would you recommend startin it? Iam faaaar from a fan of the whole germination process. I must say i suck, thought i figured it out with all the bagseed tests, but its a lil different when dealin with perfect lil seeds lol.

i would do it exactly the way you did, but instead of putting it on your ballast, put it on top of a cable box, dvd player or PS2 or some shit

But thnx for the quick replies man, really puts my mind at ease, and who knows maybe thats all i need. + rep for all that helped!

If you do put it on a cable box make sure you check frequently and keep it moist because it'll dry out quick, mine did at least. who knows maybe i watch to much tv
But they still might pop out of the ground, life will find a way! just keep the soil moist not soggy or to wet by spraying the top gently and put some flouros a few inches above the soil. Good luck:leaf:
