It's a battle of the strains! We shall see who has the stronger smoke. In this pot fighting out of the right side is the OG Kush hailing from California with millions of wins by knock out very few losses and as well as minimal draws. On the left are Cookies also hailing from California with many knock outs two losses and few draws. This is going to be the rumble in the roots!
U make it sound so exciting. ...I got my money on the k7sh kush... cookies is a Low yielder.. rock hard dog shit nugs tho goodluck and keep us posted

I just tear of all the spindly growth maybe from like 12" down, depending on plant size. I like to keep stuff above that because I have had some lower growth come up and compete with the main cola. It was the fattest cola on the plant other than the main. T earing of the lowers helps prevent pests too. Spidermites love the lower leaves for breeding.

Excellent counter on the lollipopping Verbal, I usually do mine, but this year I will try a comparison of two plants. I'll pick two almost identical and see which yields more, I know they get way bigger, but I can't say that the lost branches make more weight for sure either. I think that is a good plan, you could always do a staggered harvest if the popcorn buds are airy looking and the top cola's are dense and mature.

Noswag got it. Sometimes it snows in early October or even late September here in Denver. One year it snowed on my plants about 3 days before harvest. I wasn't home when it started snowing luckily they were fine but I moved them I to the garage when I got home. Plus the master bedroom window is always open at night and is about 5 feet away. Also I have motion alarms that I got from harbor freight for like 6 bucks that go off in the bedroom if tripped outside. Last line of defense is my tweaker/biker neighbor that is up at night and paranoid. The dude has some serious weaponry for real and a bad temper. Also I have motion lights around the perimeter that would wake up me and that crazy son of a bitch if he were asleep. I would have a dog but then I would have to clean up dog shit.

He may want the ability to move them.
you can easily dig a whole in the ground the size of the container and drop the plant and container into the ground and move it whenever you want and then you don't have a big 15 galloon container chilling in your yard. Its a quick way to disguise your plants a little better. Thats all

Here is an update on my Grape Ape. She looks like an auto flower but I assure you she is not. When I got a clone from the dispensary I didn't realize GA was such an early finisher. I had her in the pot for about 3 weeks before she started getting flowers. Oh well. Waiting to see If it purples up. Don't really care either way. But it would be nice. I don't usually like purp, but I have never grown purple genetics either so I kinda wanted it to just for the novelty.image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Oh ya I see what you are saying! I thought you meant dig a hole, cut the bottom of the pot then plant the pot basically so the roots can grow out the bottom. What you are talking about I actually did on a grow a few years ago except without the pot. I dug a hole a couple feet deep and planted in the hole. A friend of mine did this with his plants because he grew along a fence. Saved him a couple feet of top growth sticking up over the fence. BTW you grew those plants up at elevation right? That's crazy. I was just up on Guanella Pass last weekend and it was way cold but it was like 90 in Denver. I read somewhere awhile back in High Times or something that cannabis grown at very high elevations has more resin production or something like that.

Ya I'm growing at 10k elevation. they do say you get more resin when the temps drop and the plant tries to protect itself by creating more resin. Its definitely fun to grow but theres definitely strains that don't like the cold like my headband.

I have some beans I can front you if you are ever in the city. They have done well for me and pretty good smoke. Never had any problems with mold or bugs or cold temps. In fact I have come out with them covered in snow in late October and they were just fine.

Love your grow. Keep up the good work. I am growing an OG kush as well and it has to be the biggest and most resinous plant ever. I am glad I grew this strain. I grew the GSC earlier this year and she was a spindly girl. The thc production was off the hook. Good luck.

My GSC plants is really bushy. Not very tall but pretty thick. It's smells so good. When I go outside in the morning I can smell it as soon as I walk out the door. My OG plant has barely started flowering. It's about 2 weeks in so it had a ways to go. Looking probably the end of October for that one. Got some buds off the plant that the OG was cloned off and they were dank and citrusy. They are all getting the botanicare line up along with molasses and Jamaican guano. How I feed is botanicare sweet raw, pro bloom, hygrowzyme, silica blast, and liquid karma and will add ripe towards the end. Next watering is just water flush. Next is guano and molasses tea. Next is just water. Then starts over.
