Im thinking of tring clay pellets over soil???

what do you guys think? i us soil now but im thinking of going over to the clay round balls, that you can re-use. Can anyone help me with this? what are the benefits over 1 or the other?i will include some picture, will i have the same results if i use the clay balls? Thanks...

Do you water by hand? I can't see any auto-water going on in the photos. I would think the clay would dry out a shit ton quicker than you would like. Okay duh, but if you were to set up an auto-water deal for around the cost of more dirt for those gals, you should be all set.

I have a few Q's for you because I like your style in setup (looks like you've seen that george cervantes video a few times on room building!) I have been thinking about making a permanent 7x6 room in a room. Looking for a SOG style, so I don't know if more plants would be better or take the best care with fewer plants...

How much do you get per plant? How's the Air cooled hood workin out for you? Do you CO2 at all? What do YOU use to PH? What's your light output??

yes i water by hand, yes i saw the video, the light is awesome, i run a 600w HPS (90,000 lumes maybe) for flowering, and a separate area for Veg/cloning, my last grow with 3 plants yielded 7 oz. now i have 8 pants in 12/12 for 1 week so far. the room is 3x6x7 with carbon filter, intake/exit fresh air, NO Co2...im a noob this is only my 2nd round(im very pleased thou.). i want to try the suger yeast thing what do you think? i dont use any PH thingy..i have the water sit in a tank for a few days with a air rock pumping air in the water. i use foxfarm Organic my last batch for flower/Veg, but now im trying Hammerhead, Adv. Nuti.

Damn man you're doin good with 7oz. off 3 plants! I'm movin in...

If you water the clay every 15-30 min it would be fine (I think) and get ample air flow around the roots... but if you have water sitting in the bottom of a container I'd throw in an air stone or 2 to keep things flowin.

I'm using Earth Juice and it goes NUTS with the PH...I used the EJ for the first time with out a PH test, and the plant looked like a MIRV went off on the leafs. I'm guessing the Foxfarm wasn't so bad in the PH area.

How was the smoke with the Organics? What did you use as a guide when to cut them down? I think I want to cut when the T's are cloudy and 1/4th amber... don't want to be stuck on the couch stoned.

How long did you cure for? Did you glass jar em after a few days??

First of all, yes, after a few days, i put them in jars for the remainder of the time, the smoke is AWESOME...i gave some out to my friends & they all LOVED it..i have 2 types, 1st i have some super skunk which i brought back from Amsterdam( i should have brought back more or a viriety) which is not that great to tell you the truth. The other is from some seeds i had, from some bag of weed i got, & the weed was NICE, so, anyway i dont know what the 2nd plant is but, i belive it a hy-bird of some type, but very nice..i have a eye scope, and i wait till about 9th week maybe 10th & thats it i cut them down( i like milky to amber also,moke milky), then in my basement its dry, so 4/5 days after i cut here down, i strat to trim.. last 2/3 weeks in flower, flushing here out heavy with water only, get the nuti. out. so what your saying is that with the clay balls, you have to water more offen because not like soil they dont retain water? so they might dry out quicker?

Der also how long did you veg for to get that many Oz? I ended up vegging for 8-10 weeks, due to failed clones... My plant is super tall, I don't know how much will come off her. Photos are in my gallery if you wana check em out. One more week till I cut her down.

When it's okay to grow I'll have about 3 pounds and take a bath in it no water, bud all ground up... so stinky and sticky... ahhh that's my dream date... me and 3 pounds in a bath tub... You'd come out looking like a tar baby... That would be A-Okay with me. Dream over.

Edit* Oh it will dry out REALLY quick... it wont hold nearly as much as rockwool or dirt. The plants will get the best use of O2 because the best thing for plant roots is a wet dry cycle and with clay you would get that cycle for sure, just be sure the power doesn't go out (then it's nanny time) and make sure you figure out your right time cycle... you should be okay with a 15 min water ever 30-45 min. Esp. with that air cooled hood

i say you get about 4/5 oz. with the right lighting on that plant you have?what do you think youll yield?...im going to stick to soil for now.. thanks,,i think i vegged with the large plant about 3 months then 9 weeks of flowering.. How about that large plant you have? how old is she?

I'm struck on lights but I'm glad they are HPS's. I'm using (2) 75W's on either side of the plant. I tried to also use my 175W MH... but I bleached the leafs.

I have a Digital 600W air cooled HPS lamp on order. I sooooo can't wait. Should be here by the end of Feb.

I want to do a DWC so bad because you can see how much the plant eats up at the end of a week or so by the TDS/EC going up/down. Just more of a tweaker project. But that means another $180 bucks for the PH-TDS/EC-Temp checker pen...

My plant is a week away from cut down. It's on week 7. She's about... 5 months old.
