Gotta few plants growing. They're 10 days old from seed growing nicely, although the smallest one is showing small yellowing/browning areas on it's lower leaves. I haven't given the plants any nutrients yet, and they're grown in pro-mix soil. ph between 6.8 & 7.0.

Any photo pros out there that could let me know for sure if this is a mag def?

I'm getting some blood meal ASAP to give them some extra N (im thinking that may be a possibility as well) and if they need mag i'll give em some epsom salt.

first 2 pics are the sick plant, 2nd pic is one of the healthy plants, and the 3rd is what happens when you unknowingly let a curious cat into your grospace.

the brown spots are either nutrient burn or from getting water on the leaves while the lights were on and it got magnified and burned it. They could also be a PH problem but if you say your truly testing it the only other thing I can say is maybe you have hard water and theres a calcium overload but that shouldnt' make brown spots, just lock out other nutes.

Theres no nitrogen deficiency here either. The easiest way to tell the 2 apart is mag deficiency will cause the leaves to slowly lime and then yellow and fold upward like a hotdog bun and nitrogen will quickly go from lime to yellow and sometimes to brown from the bottom up.

I would say ease up on the nutes until it needs them, and keep in mind organic nutrients are not available right away to the pllant, they have to be broken down first.

Yeah, I picked up a better PH tester and the water i'm using came out to 7.4.

i tested the runoff and it was acidic...under 6.

they started showing problems before i gave them ANY nutrients...so i'm now guessing it's a PH problem.

yesterday i gave them a small quantity of lime as well as a bloodmeal/molasses combo that i let sit for a day.

we'll see what happens. i'm gonna test the runoff again today, hopefully the PH has upped a tad.

i think u may be either over watering, or, your plants need more root space(bigger pot), they really dont need oist dirt, dry, oxiginated dirt is much better. just give em a big drink once per week.........
