This is my first grow and my seedling is 2 weeks old today which means im going to start it on nutrients. Im using GH's Flora Micro and Flora Bloom. Not using Flora Gro because the Micro nutrients contain everything i need. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how much i should use? Im planning on using the lucas formula but i think im supposed to dilute the solution a bit because the plant is so young. Could anyone give me a good measurement to use (in mL). :leaf:
P.S. the plant is an autoflowering blueberry and the breeder said that it was very prone to nutrient burn.

I use Fox farms nutes and I start it out at 1/4 reccomended strength. And it depends on the strain on how much it can take so take it easy and increase from there. You can't reverse nute burn.

like HS said.. use a 1/4 of what the bottle says.. if its a teapsoon a gallon.. then use a 1/4 teaspoon a gallon.

I also used foxfarm nutrients...I made a mistake of putting in the nutrients a four days after planting...my leaves shriveled up and look dead..is this nute burn or something else ie. Lights overwatering? I am using the aerogarden setup

I use general hydroponics and the same series and I use everything they tell me to because hey are the experts and until I know what to put into the plants in what amounts at what times, Ill stick with their plan.

Meaning

Since this is your first grow why not just follow the feeding schedule until you get a few grows under your belt and then start listening to the hype of Lucas and his Formula.

Hijacking someone else s thread is considered poor form, now go make your own.

Yea better too little then too much you can fry the little girls right now. Start at 1/8 to 1/4 and work it up by feel and the way they look. The plants will let you know if they are getting too much or not enough.

you don't feed 2 weeks from sprouting, you feed when the plant looks hungry/leaves start to turn yellow.

some soils have food in them that last weeks, as in almost a month...

feed to early and you risk leaves shrivling up, you think it's something else, you feed again, then the plant's dead... b/c you weren't patient.

wait until you see slight yellowing in the leaves, that means it wants N. which means you feed.

Well the plant is hydroponically grown so the plant isnt getting all of the nutrients it would from the soil

Ok so i added 1.25 mL of flora micro and bloom today. The chart on the back of the bottles said add 1 teaspoon which is 5 mL so i just took a quarter of that. The leaves were looking droopy before i added the nutrients and there was somewhat of a yellow tint to them so hopefully the nutrients will make her happy :D

OK, I know I shouldn't do this, and I'll never do it again but I'm not going to start my own thread to ask 1 little question....

...When the leaves are yellowing, but the tips are burnt, how do I give them N without making the burn worse?

I would flush for like a week with only water and then start using your nutrients in smaller doses than before.

i started plainting my auto flowering seds in my aerogarden and did 1/4 the reccommedned dose for foxfarm and my ph level rises every few hours and i have to adjust , whats up????
