i have to go into the city tomorrow for a dr. appointment. this happened on the other side of the bay but everyone will be going around now. i'm screwed.

they just announced on the news the alternate route. i'm totally screwed. i should just leave tonight. this is THE main artery from oakland to san fransisco. blown up!!!!!!!

Shitty. whenever a main road shuts down its a bitch. Now every other side street will be packed with everyone taking alternate routes. Best of luck man. Just bring a few extra joints for the drive. They make good stressbusters.

thanks. it's a 45 min drive. i expect at least 3 hours now. may be more. i have to be there at 10:30, i'm leaving at 6.

Just think it could be worse. I live in prince edward island canada. Home of the confederation bridge. Its about 13 km long. We have a ferry service as well in the summer. If anything ever happend to that bridge we would be really fucked. The ferry cant run in the winter due to ice. So if that bridge get messed up the only optin is air travel. The whole province would pretty much be shut down until the summeer or repairs were done.

i borrowed my buddies race car. toyota MR2, fully blown up. he's won 2 trophies with it 2 weeks in a row last month. he found a loop-hole in the smog law so it's balls out. headers, turbo, dumped to the ground, boomin' stereo......... i hope 4 hours is enough. it's been all over the news. the governor is already signing checks. they have crews working on it right now. maybe as early as 90 days. meanwhile i'm stuck in it on day 1.

i was 2 and 1/2 hours early. wasn't a car on the road. like it was sunday night or something. all went well, surgery on friday. whipee!!!

congrats..I was gonna ask how it went....You arrived 2 hours early so did he see you when you got there or what....

they were all "your 2 hours early". i said " i know ". that saw me. squooze me in. i was home by 11:00. had lunch, took a nice nap....
thanks for asking. all looks good. they use lasers for tonsilectomies now. i was told i could be back at work on monday. i told them NOT to tell my boss that. i planned on taking a couple weeks off.
