I'm new to Hydro and I'd love some opinions on my upcoming DWC set-up/materials!

Here's some basic info on myself and my situation. Been a cultivar for about 4 years now, mainly soil and hempy. Finally decided to make the big switch over to hydro and figure DWC is my best option. Just want some of your opinions on the materials I've chosen to use and perhaps a quick question or two answered.

I've already got my lighting/tent/ventilation as is: a 600w HPS w/ a cool tube, a 3'x3' tent and a great inline fan/carbon filter combo. Will have to buy pretty much EVERYTHING else new all over again because my rubbermaid tub full of nutes/supplies got tossed out by my ex.

Here is a list of the items I'll be buying for the DWC setup, with links. Any thoughts, experience, opinions or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! I won't waste your time posting the more boring normal items like ph/ppm meters or ph up/down, Olivia's cloning gel, etc. etc.

I was more interested in your opinions on the nutes mainly. As well as the Rapid Rooters and your opinion of their use with DWC. Also the medium I will be using in the pots.

GH FloraSeries Performance Pack - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008OJY94M/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3VTE9RTFS7WGL

Includes RapidStart (1 oz) and FloraBlend (8 oz)
Includes FloraGro, FloraMicro and FloraBloom (16 oz each)
Includes Liquid KoolBloom (8 oz) and Floralicious Plus (1 oz)
Includes FloraKleen (4 oz) and pH Test Indicator (1 oz)

-I'm not too keen on using ALL of these products, definitely going for the Trio and the KoolBloom. Thinking about the Floralicious and FloraBlend as well. Any opinions on those two would help me greatly. Any input on the rest of the bunch is more than welcome as well!

Botanicare Power Series Plant Supplement Kit 3-Pack (Buying mainly for Silica Blast which I'm almost certain I'll be using. It comes with Blast Off as well as Clearex. Blast Off however I can not find any opinions on positive or otherwise, so ANY and ALL comments on this product in particular would be AWESOME as they will help me decide on whether or not it will be beneficial to use!) - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0057CTAGG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Mad Farmer's MOAB: Mother Of All Blooms -I would LOOOVE some info on this one! - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CMEVE34/ref=ox_sc_act_title_9?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2CXIDXPR1SRQR

Also using Cal-Mag+ and SuperThrive but I figure that they are so well known around the community that I don't need to bother posting anymore ugly, non-hyperlinked URLs!

Any and all info regarding these products in your experience with hydro/dwc or even in general is again, greatly appreciated! As you may be able to tell by now, I am very happy to hear anything and everything you guys have to say!

YOU GUYS ROCK!

ok bro! ive read ur intire post and i can tell u that ur on right way! for nutes i can tell u definitely to keep it simple with GH flora 3 parts, Calimagic, Diamond Nectar, LiquidKoolBloom. u can use the rapidStart but dont use it at the very beginning i noticed stunt growth with it! at least 1 week after seedling! Also get some rockwool or rapidrooter compost plugs from GH they are the best! hydro is different then soil! plants react instantly to the nutes on the rez. that means it can get fucked up in a matter of hours! continuous monitoring is highly recommended! finally, get a bigger air stones and good luck growing hydro :)

I'm sorry buddy, definitely should've clarified! It'll be three 5 gallon buckets with the 4th nozzle on the air pump plugged off to divert all the power of the pump to the three bucket lines.

Also, I know hempy is hydro, but passive hydro was so similar to soil for me that I sort of associate things like DWC with a whole new ball game. :eyesmoke:
