im new to growing

im new to growing im trying to use a 250 watt lamp an im trying to grow in a grow tent it will be about 3x3x or 4x4x or 2'7x1'7 or 4x2x what is the best size an what light bulbs will i need to start growing plus im buying female seeds.

Hey dude its really down to how many plants you want to start gowing and whether you want a sativa or indica dominant strain the sativa grow alot higher than the indica's..If your going using a HPS then you need to get some ventillation in to extract all the heat not that much off a 250w but the higher you go the better your yield..I personally think HPS are the best to use not that energy efficent but you get some really dense buds off them..Ventillation is the key though a good rule of thumb is that you want to completely change the air in the tent every 10-15mins the more of an air flow you have the more C02 will be provided to your plant and the lower your temps will be..Female seeds are always a good choice I only buy fem seeds saves the hassle of pulling males...Hopes this info helps some bit..happy growing dude..

I run a 600w hps in a cooltube in a 2x3x6 cab. It's enough to keep me happy! And yes ventilation is huge, I love the cool tube. Even with the air in the cab off, it stays fairly cool, around 86 - 90 degrees, venting the cab I can easily keep it between 76 and 80 degrees.
