Does that really work? If you flush your plant with red food coloring will it really tint the buds?

who cares..keep additives out and leave marijuana natural

besides it is the trichome density/coverage that we should be looking for, not the color of the bracts...at least that is if ya'll care about the quality of the weed instead of the appearence

Yeah it works. It doesnt make it that 100% pink like that one picture up there but it changes the color of the leaves and trichs. Check this thread out from back in the day

https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/9902-color-my-dreams.html

But as somebody said don't do it. The sugars from the food coloring ruined the taste and the burn of the weed, So although it looks cool, its completely useless and ruins weed.

I found a picture of this strain called pink lady a while back, I ended up saving it just because its so pretty.
I've heard of the strain before, havent heard of the genetics on it or anything though.

Does it stay that color through harvest?
Yes she does. She starts out pink the first couple of days the pistils first start to appear and progressively gets darker until they are as they appear in the picture. I will try and dig up the camera today and take a pic of the finished product, cures a nice brownish red, sweet earthy smell very pleasant. The plant is very easy to grow but started off very slow and she got stuck with the name Runt. I have another batch of seeds germing now so we will see what she does this time.

what color are they when dried?
It dries brownish red, I wanted to take a new pic of the few buds I have left but after being in the cure jar for a year this week, they look just like the old panama red or punta rojo. Right now there is not any color left in to speak of, just browns, a few stray reds. When it first is dried, it looks very yummy but after a year just nice brown color. I will say that the smoke is some of the smoothest I have ever smoked, I believe that this is mostly do to the dry and cure mostly.
I have a new seed that just broke the surface last night, so in about 2 months you will see her in the grow journal. She is figuring promently in my new breeding program.
