I'm looking for a high quality strain with a good leaf to bud ratio... any ideas???

I'm harvesting some Barney's Farm Violator Kush, some Paradise Sensi Star and some Dutch Passion Blueberry right now. They are all great quality but have a horrendous leaf to bud ratio and are a pain in the ass to trim and manicure. Any ideas?

I will check out your journal when I am on later but would you mind me asking how much you yielded per plant and how long it took to trim and manicure each plant?

I have been only doing S.O.G. so yeild is not remarkable. On average 1 1/2 oz.

I don't time myself, but 6 plants if I take my time and fine trim right at the start take me 3 hours or so.

If you want less leaf stay away from sativas. For this reason I don't think PPP is the way to go, but maybe i'm wrong.

Those strains are all indica dominant and should have a good flower to leaf ratio as is. One way you could do it is flower them earlier. that way the light intensity will penetrate the plant more and in theory help your babies fill out more completely. That or get more intensity during flower. Your flowering with what kind of bulb? I would imagine a MH would give you more leaf to bud ratio.

Something super indica would be in order if you want less to trim. Check out black domina. Shes suppose to not smell all that great nor taste awsome but is extremely potent. my .02

I have been hearing alot of people complain that the Kush's are too leafy.

Alot of sativa's are, but crosses not so much. As you can see in the picture, or even the ones at my journal, this PPP is pretty good about extra leafs.

Hey Dill, Hows it going bro? Let me know how you like your BB. Love mine, its a low yielder though. Ice man!! Stuff is fire......at least the pheno I kept is and there are a couple good phenos. Mine is all calyxs when its done flowering. Loaded with trics, smells fruity, taste like fuel and potent as hell. The Jillybean I just harvested doesn't hold a candle to it. Seedsman White Widow. Yield of 2 oz+ with only 2 weeks of veg and 8 weeks flower in SoG. Big buds with small amount of sweet leaf and easy to snap off sun leaves. Very frosty, light, yet floral/piney/lemony scent. Awesome high with a perfect mix of head and body buzz.

Not interested in White Widow. I have grown it enough times.

Mosca's C99 has few leaves.......... harvest time is a snap!

anything from dj short grows too much bud with hardly any leafs.

and the leafs they do have, is glittered with that sugary substance

skunk #1 is supposed to have a low leaf to flower ratio.

Pineapple Express had very little trim leaf compared to my other stuff. Check out my albums from my first grow, not disappointed!

I didn't even know that was a real strain... did it come in an actual breeder pack?
