Just like the title reads...I'm here to help  I have grown soil for years, indoor and outdoor and done my share of experimenting. I'm not trying to toot my own horn, but I figured I couldn't just say I'll help if you don't know if I've even grown before....isn't that right? I might not prove much help to you hydro growers, I've just recently tried my hand at hydro...I'm no expert. Just to be clear...I'm not pretending to be the knower of all that is marijuana, what I know is from experience (and some reading too!) To be honest I'm just getting tired of having to look through all the new posts all the time...so why not just let some people ask what they'd like right here.

So...Anything I can help with?
Anytime you wanna jump in and help out here go right ahead. As you can see a few of us have some knowledge too. I am curious, your dripper lines and controls, size and just timer or more like an irrigation control set up like Rain Bird, etc. Welcome to the forum. VV:mrgreen:

You say your doing outdoor hydro but describe a simple drip setup can you tell more how its a hydro grow as to be true hydro you would need timed floods or submersions of the roots that are not in a soil medium or the ground as that would be a saoil grow with drip emitting watering. Also what are the plants in buckets with hydroton or soiless mix and how do you recirculate the nutrient solution back up hil to the garden and monitor your daily ph and ppm amounts if its guerilla without making a daily trip risking the grow? Just curious as I have seen one person do a true outdoor hydro but the work definatly wasnt work it.Thanks
It is a simple drip system, and my medium is perlite and vermiculite (CannaCoir would work too) The container essentially has a rez of it's own that makes up the bottom 1/4 of the container. The drippers are primarily to maintain a full rez, I was going to use float valves but drippers seem like the better way to go. As for bubbling the rez I've rigged it up with a simple vacuum type set-up that draws air into the bottom (and bubbles up) as the water moves out to the containers. Now you have made a vary valid point with Ph and PPM checks...I can't check the Ph or PPMs. That's why I'm using a natural water source and filling the rez with float valves, the rez refills automatically and the Ph and PPMs don't fluctuate all that much with the shortened rez time.

Before you ask...I am going to test the water source first.

Again welcome to THE forum. lol So what your are doing is just soaking draining to ground any overflow from the bottom 1/4 res, or controlling so it doesn't get that high?? VV

I was originally going to control it so there's be minimal overflow with float-valves. The problem with that is that I'll have no way to tell when the rez is empty, with drippers I can time it and it just seems safer.

BTW...Thanks for the (repeated) welcomes VictorVIcious

well, it was beginning to look like someone else's thread. You will find this often happens here. Folks just seem to click and go. I have been on that beach. If you have the time I would appreciate some pictures, I have been thinking about installing a drip system for my yard plants, I already have the drippers and a res or two I could use. VV

Hi,

I just posted some pics in my journal and I need help.
It's the post #33.

https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/58850-my-first-attempt-help-suggestions-4.html

I'm a first time grower and today I noticed a couple of holes in one leave. I searched for bugs etc. but I didn't see anything. I also looked under the leaves, and still I couldn't see anything abnormal.
Please (!!!!!) take a look and tell me what you think, and if there's anything I can do...

Thanks a lot in advance
Cheers

As for pictures...I'll have plenty when things get going, but my outdoor season doesn't start for another month or so. Until then I've only got indoor pictures of soon to be mothers...in soil.

It's basically a Hempy bucket with a run-to-waste drip system and an automatic bubbler for the auto-watering rez.

i wanna grow one plant of northern lights in my room, i have a bunch of seeds, is there a good way of doing this, especially in a house with a dad that doesnt aprove? haha i was planning on doing it in my closet, in a fish tank, or growing it and letting it finish in this vacant, fenced woody field in my neighborhood

Usually the person that starts a thread has the most posts in the thread. No big deal to me and obviously not to you, some folks care about those things. most of us care more for a good discussion and we don't care who started the thread. So your season would be the same as my state?? I live in Michigan. VV

Carbon Scrubbers are your best bet  They aren't overly cheap though...this video might save you some money but you'll still need a blower of some sort to attach it to. His plan doesn't really come together, but he's got the idea

There is no good way of growing in a dis-approving parent's house, I don't recommend trying it. Grow outdoors.
