I'm in for surgery in two hours, and won't be back for a couple of days. After I'm back awake and alert, I'd be more than happy to guide you. Wiring is simple, but important. If you do it wrong, you may start a fire or get bit and kill yourself. You have things to consider; does your electrician know what you're wiring for? Is this a problem? Can you trust them?
If you answered no to any of those questions, I would recommend not hiring an electrician and doing the work yourself. If you're in NC I'll do it for gas money and some Arby's and beer. Honestly, without details, I can't guide you further, but I am an Engineer and will help you if I can. PM me if you'd like to discuss this privately.
