I am in Florida and here it is $0.04 per kilowatt hour. I pay $1000 per month for my electric bill. I read that the kilowatt per hour charge in Cali was $0.20...does that mean my bill would be $5000?

Am I forgetting something? Did I figure that right?

The current eletric rates are divided into two seasons....Summer (June - Sept) and Winter (Oct - May).

The Winter rates are locked at 12.36 cents per kwh.

The Summer rates range from 12.36 to 17.34 cents per kwh, depending on your living situation and area.

Where I live around NY area we pay .09 cents Kwatt but after you add up all the extras that they space out in seperate bills throughout the year the final charge is in the range or .21 to .23 so always know that is how most places hide the actual cost to make us less angry.
