I'm getting extremely tired of this "medical" front people are using.

apparently we got dougie houser here to diagnose everyone who speaks or acts in a way thats is bro ish, or who is getting stoned
Damn nice pairing of dougie houser to bro-ism! ...See: barney stinson. if you don't get the comedy in that. Edit: I couldn't get through much more than 7 pages of this thread.

If marijuana actually took away pain... that would be rad.
I hurt daily from the labor involved in my line of work.
MJ doesn't even work as well as ibuprofen.

Stomach issues on the other hand.. Yeah, I'll give it that. MJ works better for most minor stomach issues than the otc's available (tums, etc..)

Depends on the type of pain, if from a "wound" no not so much, nor is it good for tooth pain.

But stomach, head, back, basically any sort of joint pain or "internal discomfort" can be treated with the plant.

You don't need to entirely cut out pharmaceuticals entirely, just replace them when possible with the natural option when possible

If it helped me with back pain I would be rolling joints all day. I wish.
perhaps others are experiencing something different... but headache, back pain, knee pain, soar muscles... not a damn thing. not even a little bit.

Well Iv suffered from knee issues since I was a kid, and smoking the plant is the other thing other than prescription pain-killers (which destroy your stomach).

Neer, with a migraine if you smoke a joint and sit in the dark it'll offer huge relief.

EDIT: It's not supposed to take the pain away, it's just supposed to make you easier able to deal with it.

I've tried that more than once. In pain and high is worse for me than just plain in pain. cn

For me it is sudden onset nausea. And it can be severe enough to have me just instantly bark a (mostly) dry heave. I have learned some things to be very careful. It is hell in a meeting, I tell you what! :)

All the surgery, they say.....plus all the Pharma I take through the day.

I ran out, needed to go back to the OTC meds for pain relief, spent the next week dealing with my bleeding ulcer and other effects of nearly 20 yrs of prescription meds, cracked and spent my last $20 to get some more MJ...feeling alright now.

I'm old so I'll smoke it, eat it, turn it into a cream and rub it on, because I fucking want to and don't need any fucking excuse from nobody. I'll use for lubing my god damn garage door opener or stick it up my cat's ass if she wants. I don't care what anyone else does with their weed or whatever they call it, do you?

I care.

Not using cannabis is the leading cause of dickishness in politicians and CEOs.

There is no real criteria for it; anyone can go to a certain "Dr." and say they feel better when smoking it and boom... you've got your rec. Every time I hear a dirty lazy no good stoner use the word "medicate" or "medicine" I want to punch them in their mouth. Most people feel better when they smoke, otherwise people wouldn't take all the risks and spend all the money to get it, but to call it medicine is just a cop out and an insult to the few people that could legitimately use it medicinally. Please just say you're getting stoned instead of "medicating".

Just because something makes you feel good doesn't make it medicine. I guess I could start referring to Johnny Walker Black as "medicine" cuz I feel better when I drink than when I don't. I'm sure that 95% of you people that "medicate" don't need it and if you argue that it helps with anxiety, etc. Well, they make pills for that. Marijuana is for people with AIDs, Cancer, Fibromyalgia and so on.

Ok, rant over. Thanks!

well all have cancer... you dont understand how medicine works do you? you can use it to keep you healthy too you know....

Stage 4 cancer and chemo failed, scheduled for stem cell transplant at City of Hope (Not a chance in hell). Told the doc I am gonna take the summer off and spend time with my family, started smoking bud and walked 7 miles a day 6 days a week in the summer heat with a hydration pack.

After 3 months I got another PET scan to see how bad it was and it came back no sign of disease, I was in remission and I still am a year later. The doctors have no clue how it happened!

I recommend everyone smoke it for whatever reason.

^thats great news. probably sweated the cancer out with all that walking.. and no im not a doctor ;)
Well, as you say. Weed kills brain cells, unless you hold big tokes. :) Steve Jobs thought he could sweat out cancer.

So, did those dead people in the AZ sweat lodge experiment a few years back.

Good for you. My take away here is never give up. I had stage 3 colon cancer so bad that it was actually stage 4 except it was not outside the lymphatic system yet. They have no clue. That cannot save us. But sometimes we can save ourselves.....for a little while.

Cancers remiss. Why they do not know. But, just going with Hope and Directed Visioning is not enough. Essential, I think, but more is needed to really work the Placebo Effect. Like I said recently, I work my PE like plow mule.

So, we also need that massive chemo to show the robot who is still driving. PE this mo'fo'! :)

Good job, there.
