Interested in how many states in the u.s. DO allow it, but around these parts.... well i did 9mos. for my first possesion charge... just posession, no priors, not even growin it or anything! Now, that said, I think a lot of folks on this site are in the same boat, not in it to do anything WRONG, just cant afford to pay the outrageous prices for some good smoke! SB, if u don't got a card, or some LEGAL way to grow, keep it inside, or if outside, keep it well hidden! No 1,000-plant crops in the backyard ya know? Keep it on the DL no matter what, people=problems.... problems usually mean u go to jail, not the kind of problem u want.

Overheard in a Wisconsin church: "Praise be to Cheeses!"

Go to the NORML site for a state by state run-down on legality and penalties for growing in your state. Then evaluate the risk-reward.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!

9 months in jail?????

I only had to pay a $250 fine for posession and posession of paraphenalia.

I have grown in wisconsin, for the past 10 years, you have to be quiet and tell no one. If your asking me as a friend, then you don't need my permission....just don't get caught. Fat wisconsin buds are beautiful, hardly so beautiful to go to jail for. Guerilla planting is the best, unless you have a greenhouse.

Plant in a few small patches, with a few plants, rather then one large eye sore.
Try a Diesel Ryder, Auto-AK-47, or other lowryder crosses. The size on some is under 2', and delivers 30-50 grams. Nothing compared to a 6' foot 700 gram plant. A six foot plant is very common, it will stink of the dank buds it carries. Truly an area with human traffic is fine to sell weed, but your asking some casual pot smoker's nose to go wild in August- September. The auto flowering plant have their place and this might be it. They are small you just have to plant more of them.
Just an opinion- I might be stoned

If you do decide to do it, plan your security, try not to bee line to your plants from the main path. If you want you can go the entire season in buckets or pots, that or just until they preflower, so you only have to plant the females.
If you want to put them in as soon as possible, put them in after the last frost free day. Buckets and pots heat up faster the the cool Spring soil, increasing root growth. After the last frost in your area the ground should be warm enough. The other plus of buckets and pots, they are movable incase you have too.

Sure can.. me and a buddy grew up a nice pillow of sensi in a WI cornfield back in the 80's. Haven't been there or tried it since, but with global warming, WI is more hospitable for MJ than ever.

Northern lights was developed in IN, might give that a try. In any case, you want a good portion of indica genes in your seed selection to get the early (pre-frost) finish you'll need.

I also live in Milwaukee. I used to plant outside.....until my divorce. I'm now living in an apartment and growing in my closet. If you want to do an out door grow, I would suggest growing an Indica, or an auto flowering strain. They tend to be shorter, bushier plants.....IMHO. I've decided to go with auto flowering strains myself. This allows me to have a "perpetual" grow. I've got 3 White Dwarf plants, about 6 weeks into it, and they're already starting to flower. They're all feminized seeds and I can see the beautiful pistils on all 3. I put 2 AK x Lowryder #2 into soil on 4/14. And will toss in 2 or 3 Lowryder #2s in about 2 weeks. I was gonna tell you something else, but I forgot what it was..........YES I am stoned ;-) ! Oh yeah. Now I remember. I went up north near Eau Claire over the weekend and planted 4 various Indica seeds, feminized. I can't wait to see if there's any significant differences between those and what I've been growing indoors. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck. And if you're gonna do an outdoor grow, you best get the seeds in the ground now! Have fun with it. It is truly amazing to see the plant(s) go through their life cycle and then be able to smoke it!! You'll have friends you haven't seen or heard from in a long time start crawling out of the woodwork once they hear about your Quality Nugs! HAPPY 420!!!!!

:peace:
