3 days from seed and not only am I above ground, but there are vigorous roots popping out of the bottom. It's all in my grow journal if ya care to take a peak. But I'm too excited not to share on the forum itself!

Congrats. Its not so much the medium. It's patience / optimal temps / humidity with seedlings.

I use root riot because they are better. I'm not exactly sure why they are better I think it's the holes are more appropriate sizes for planting, I forget tho havnt used rapid rooters in a long time. I remember that was always something I didn't like about them tho.
I think your plugs are upside down by the way but doesn't matter

For that reason is why I put them upside down. Create my own hole =)

I lost a crop because the tap roots dried out after popping out of the bottom. Now I transplant them immediately to red cups when the tap pops out.
