Hey, I'm only on my second round. First round was a shit show. With overwatering, underwatering, fungus gnats, herms, you name it, i learnt it.
However, also learned seeding, cloning. Currently attempting feminization using colloidal silver. Running some radically simple sub irrigation.
I'd be super happy to share some seeds, clones, genetics. Let's make this an Illinois thing. You ever hear Humble Pie's, "30 days in the hole?' They sing about "Illinois green". Let's make it happen!
I'm thinking , Green line, Red line, Purple line.... You get the picture.

kind of nervous about accepting cuts into my garden, heard a few horror stories about mites and whatnot.
i would be down to test some of your seed. i'm not a breeder (yet) so nothing to trade besides grow results from any strain you are working on.
i'm not in any hurry tho.
got some (what i hope is ridiculous fire) wedding cake getting ready to pop for my fall/winter run.

Totally understand not taking clones...
I'm nowhere near serious enough to call myself a breeder. Just a gardener. Only seeds i have right now are some store bought and a bag full of stuff that was pollinated by a herm. The herm's babies grow fast. I was going to run some Sour Diesel next but now thinking i shoud pop a few of the herm baby Marihuana Mixto and test whether the "common knowledge" of herm seeds = herm plants is true.
Currently trying to feminize some seed of the purple plant so i can flower the mother and make room to veg something else. I'll post here when they're done and share with my IL brothers and sisters.

Same here.
I've been throwing random seeds outside and planted some rooted seedlings and clones a few weeks ago just... because.
What have I learned?
- It might be a couple of seasons before my random seeds randomly pop. I'm okay with that. It's a long term project.
- One random location might be right next to where the local authorities frequently (randomly) set up a speed trap. Can't wait for them to randomly smell a skunk.
- If you see random news about the authorities pulling down plants at or near a random metra station, let me know.
- Bugs galore on the white widow but it's growing like a weed. Good soil there.
- The road to hell is paved with Poison Ivy and I'm not immune.
