Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

I just got off of the phone with the same person that illannoyed got, his name was Juan. He reaffirmed that the Division of Medical Cannabis has halted the processing of applications until mid to late January. I told him that another call agent from the Division of Medical Cannabis had told me that they were processing all apps, online or mail. He apologized and said that the employee that told me differently "must not have gotten the memo that was released with the draft of new rules earlier this week". He said that he will be speaking to his manager to ensure that more people are not confused.

He told me that since my application was received on 9/26, that I could expect to see my provisional registration in mid to late January. He said that I can expect my official card in late January early February.

What a whiplash of a day. So bummed from this god damn wait. Angry.

You got my hopes up so I called back. This time I got a lady who told me the same thing (that the processing of applications has been halted) and to remain patient.

How am I supposed to remain patient when they keep moving the goal posts while at the same time refusing to give me any updates. This is the definition of being left in the dark.

My friend called the Division. Her app was received on 9/19 and was sent to printers today. So I am thinking that this info is wrong. (hooray!)

Sounds like Juan and the other lady need to be canned. Maybe they are the reason we have such a long wait.

Either way...I am hoping to see card soon.

This will be my last post till my card, so I will post my timeline one more time.

I literally said that one of my friends got approved TODAY and that the idea that processing was halted was LIKELY WRONG...I literally said: "My friend called the Division. It will be interesting to see the latest update from the Medical Cannabis Pilot Program website to see how many applications were processed during the month of November. The last update was posted on November 9th, so an updated version of the report should be available any day now

I applied 19-October-2018
Application/Credit Card Info recieved 19-October-2018

I called the customer care representative at Phoenix Botanicals and she looked up my account and my lincense has been approved and today is 6-December-2018...

I was getting worried! Now the waiting game for the card to be printed...
