Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

For me it added two or three days. I got the notice by snail mail but it allowed me to resubmit electronically so I did so with a read receipt in the e-mail. The next day at 08:20 I git back the read receipt. According to my Outreach person, back when I submitted there were only 2 people processing everything and fingerprints/background check had to be supplied and verified. Now there are 10 people and no time to spend on the fingerprint/background check. It is important to note that the state of Illinois does not print the cards. They are farmed out to a private contractor. I think it's in South Carolina so that is the wait time from when you are approved. My wait was exactly two weeks from the approval date on the letter sent with the card. Hope it goes smooth and quick for you. Trust me it's worth the wait!

was wanting to know how the wait time looked for online apps paid with credit card / was emailed receipt the same day. Thanks for any Reply

I am wondering the same thing. Majority of the post are about mailed in applications.. Also I submitted my online application after the requirement of fingerprints was eliminated. So that may make the time frame totally different. 17 days waiting so far. Longest wait of my life!

We are close as well! Submitted and charged through IEC on 9/20. Looks like some wait times have been as low as 75 days!

I don't believe they would be working on different timelines for people that did it electronically. The only real difference is they charge your card much quicker and you don't have to wait for USPS to deliver it.
The state received my packet 8/17. They cashed my check 10/23. I am currently at 73 days waiting. Since the new laws I have not heard of delays caused by errors in the fingerprint and background checks because they are no longer required. This coupled with the fact that the state finally hired on 8 more people to process applications since the new law has definitely improved the wait time. I think I remember someone saying they had to wait over 100 days but that was earlier this year. It has gotten much better. I think I saw a 75 day wait time at one point.
At 73 days and I'm starting to feel like its Christmas but I don't know when Santa will arrive. I highly recommend signing up for USPS informed delivery. This will give you an image of the mail that is scheduled to arrive daily.

wasn't getting at separate timelines , was getting at post 8/28. and wanting to know what to expect with online app with credit card payment , most are talking about sent in apps. does everyone get payment cashed only when they get to apps ? I guess I need to look and see if my c.c. was charged . Hope you will be getting some good news soon !

If my math is correct they had 2 people processing applications before and it took 100 days. Now they have 10 should take about 20 days to get! Wishful thinking..

I’m at 90 days and still counting almost seems like it’s never going to come I wouldn’t get any hopes up of it becoming faster it’s same shit different day if you ask me I’m seeing people that applied after me getting their cards I’ve gotten no email back no phone calls and no letters stating I’ve had any issues so not sure what the deal is. Welcome to Illinois I guess.

The timelines are improving greatly. If you apply online they generally charge it right away, but if you send it in they cash the check while your application is being processed. The only reason I am so anxious right now is because my check was cashed last Tuesday, so my card should be here any day provided everything was completed correctly.
Some of the people who applied electronically have reported receiving an email saying they were approved a few days before receiving their card, but is sounds like that has been very inconsistent.

I finally recieved a response to my email today (I wanted to make sure the documents they said were missing were recieved) my app has been approved and card is at the printer! Finally a light at the end of the tunnel...
