Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

Hi! Just thought I’d share my timeline, because information here from others has really helped me throughout this crazy long wait.
Applied 6/1
Card charged 6/2
(6/3-8/15 Called/e-mailed a few times and told app was received...)
Called 8/16 and was told I’ve been approved and sent to printer. The very nice man told me I should for sure get the card by the end of next week!

Hi everyone, I applied about the 2nd week in july but my card was never charged which has me worried bc most others here seem to have had their card charged within days of applying. Any thoughts?

after reading this, I called immediately, I've been approved!! my information has been sent to the printer and I should receive it in 14 business days.

5/22 - First appointment w/ Dr. Footerman @ Schaumburg Office
5/31 - Credit Card Charged / Application Received
8/01 - Called for the first time ,was told I am entering 'Processing Queue'
8/13 - Called again, Physician Certification Received 8/11
8/16 - Called , told I am approved , info sent to printer

That's 86 days since my first appointment , and 77 days since they received my application and charged my card.

I'll update on when my card arrives, and I'll be headed to The Clinic - Mundelein, which is walking distance (4 minutes) from my house

Congrats!! What number did you call, or who/where did you e-mail to check the status of your application?

How did you apply I used EIC and they submitted all for me I had appointment on May 24 and all was received by the state on the 28 same day I my CC was charged
Since it's already been a month for you I say call IDPH and ask if your application was received

Also got my card today:
mailed application on 5/29/18; check cashed 8/7; approved 8/8 (or 8/9?); card in hand 8/17.

I called yesterday and was told that my caregivers name was Jamie. I called again today and left a message for Jamie. She just called me back and said I was approved!! I got the same, “it’s been sent to the printer” and she told me that I should see the card within 14 business days! Can’t wait! I will post again when I do receive it!

That’s awesome news. I mailed mine shortly after (6/5) and my check was cashed 8/10 so I am really hoping by the end of next week maybe. Hope everyone here there’s soon.

Hi All. Thought I’d share our timeline to cheer you up. Sent application on May 22, 2018. Check cashed last week of July, 2018. Card arrived August 17, 2018☺ We didn’t get an email from IDPH saying approved. Long wait but worth it. Good luck everyone and thanks for all the useful information.

Almost there people! Been stalking this thread for a while and it’s been a huge help.

-App submitted through Innovative Express Care (6/3)

-App received by State and CC charged (6/5)

Hoping to get my card this week!

**Medcard Clock predicted (8/20) as the date so let’s see how close that will be!

I am hoping so.. My check was cashed 8/10 and it seems those who’s mailed once there check is cashed it’s about 10-14 days. I’m gonna post once I receive it. I signed up for informed delivery via USPS also.

Yeah that’s what I was noticing too! Well since we have similar dates and different methods of submission, hopefully it will help us get a better idea of the whole waiting game haha. I’ll post when I get mine as well!

I've been reading this thread for months now, and I can't say how much it's helped out. My app was sent in August 1st. They called me immediately because there was an issue with my check so I had to resend it but they confirmed I have everything needed. Now the waiting game....

application received by state 6/6 - IDPH confirmed app was received. Checked back on status last week but could only get the generic response about wait times and another confirmation that my application had been received. Seems like June folks should be seeing cards within the next week or two. Trying to be patient and wait a few days before I call again lol
