Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

Wow card day for a lot of people
Congratulations everyone that received their cards
My card was charged May 28 earlier today I called to check status and the lady that answered told me I should call after August 28th which surprised me since last week someone else told me I was in queue and it should be up for review soon

Today still waiting..... Will post when I get informed delivery! So exciting to see 7/30 approval dates getting cards today!!!!

That’s awesome and thanks for the info. Do you know did you call the ‭(217) 782-3300‬ #? I wanted to call as my check hasn’t been cashed yet but just wanted to call the correct number. I greatly appreciate the insight and have a great day.

Hi I’m a newbie. I tried reading through all the comments but couldn’t find what I was looking for. I did a lot of reading but not all of it. I came home today to what I thought was my card but instead it was a disappointment letter saying that I had to resubmit my photo because mine wasn’t good. I went to Walgreens and have it ready to be emailed tomorrow. I’m curious if anyone hasn’t been through this and what my new time line will be. It’s already been 90 days tomorrow. Congratulations to everyone who is getting their cards. I hope to be there soon. Thanks in advance for any help.

Once you submit your photo and it’s approved you’ll go right back to your spot previously, You won’t be waiting another 3 months

Just got home and seeing my card is like the holy grail! I’m so excited!! I’ll be going to the dispensary once I get paid lol. I can’t wait! Card says it was issued 7/31.

Here’s my timeline:
5/10- went to innovative express
5/11- video call follow up
5/17- state received application/CC was charged
7/31-approved
8/8- Card in hand

Total days from when state received my application is 83 days. :bigjoint:

Thank you so much! Just wondering how long from my email being sent with the photo to the acceptance. Well I guess I’ll just have to learn to have some patience. Thanks again.

Mine was charged 5/31. I called around the start of last week, for the first time ,and was told I was up for review soon in the processing queue as well.

The waiting game continues

She was probably in a bad mood so far when I have called (only once per week) nobody had made feel like I was told to shut up an go in a corner to wait my turn lol
I'll check on Monday anyway 8-)

I GOT MY CARD!! Yesterday Aug 8th
Finally- July 30th approval on the paper

Dr visits were two in the first week of May. So basically exactly 90 days for the card.

Went to mindful marijuana in Addison.
Since I’m brand new to this they spent 30 min with me just explaining indica and Sativa and what I was looking for. Very helpful and she wrote everything down for me.

Left with two disposable vape pens a banana kish indica and a hybrid called pina collada and a THC lotion and 5
Different edible gummies. I’m going really slow with this so max mg of THC I got in the edibles was 10mg a piece.

I used the baba kush last night and felt relaxed but maybe needed to use more? I wasn’t completely out of pain and definitely not high. I took a tiny puff on it breathing in for two seconds every 30 min. Am I just needing to use more?

Also free gram of flower for all new patients at mindful. I highly suggest them very knowledgeable.

Congratulations to everyone that finally got their cards! I emailed Tuesday and after clearing up my dob and then sending another follow up i got the answer I've been waiting for. I am approved and my card is being printed up!!! Can't wait. My cc was charged May 23rd and iwent through IEC.

My application was received by the state on either 5/18 or 5/19 and I’m hoping it got approved and sent thru but no one will answer me no matter when I call, so I guess I’ll just be impatiently waiting. Hate to say this but Illinois needs to step it up, I know it’s a pilot program and all but it’s 2018 cannabis is our medicine! Get on track IL
