Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

I called today and I was approved!!!!!! Yay!!!


So my time line is a little different. I wasn’t originally going to get my card so I already had both my appointments by the time I decided to get it. I went in around May 11th and on May 18th I got an email saying they had received my app. Called today and it was approved and sent to the printers and I should have it in 14 days from Monday!

I called they are not at my application yet but she said mine should be reviewed soon so I guess I'm on queue hopefully they will next week
The last part of the wait feels the longest :roll:

I’m new here. Just wanted to say that I just called the IDPH and someone answered immediately. I told her that I submitted my application on May 23rd. She said that they have just begun looking at applications submitted on May 21st so mine will be processed very soon. From what I’ve been reading here, I get the impression that it’s only a matter of a couple weeks from the time the application is processed until the card is mailed. I hope I’m right about this because I don’t have much longer to wait! Anyway, I hope this helps.

My submission date was also the 23rd! Did you go through innovative express? I hope theyget to us on Monday!!

Good point because i paid some additional money and certainly don't see any added benefit for it. I'll have to call Tuesday to see if I'm good yet. I'll be sure to update then.

Hi, so I submitted my application on May 18, it was received on the 19th I believe. Called today and no answer, would it be possible they could’ve sent it to the printers without sending me a final email? I plan to call again Monday but I’m getting really worried since someone said they’re already on May 21st now. Has anyone else experienced this??!

Essentially my same question lol about the email. I’ve seen some people comment about getting one and others haven’t said so I’m just hoping it’s nothing cause I paid too much to wait this long for my medicine!

From what I've seen watching the group, there is no notification once you are approved. I believe some ppl just had good timing when they sent an email. Like i know from watching that if i email midweek i will hopefully, barring any issues receive a thumbs up response email. .

You are so correct! Just hang in there everyone! It’s 90days from when the state receives your application. Soon!!

Yes totally possible, they would just approve it and send it to printer...They don't notify you, unless something is wrong...Let us know what they say Monday

About the whole email thing. I was one that posted about getting an email of approval, and no that don’t just send you one. I had sent them an email the day after I called and they told me my application was being processed. I provided my name, DOB, and address and eventually someone emailed me back stating I was approved. I’d recommend doing the same. Just send an email asking for an update status on your card. Not 100% they will answer back but it’s worth the shot.
