Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

I promised "Da Ganja Gang" that I was just going to lay low and wait until 27th so I'm not working myself up and freakin out like a squirrel on crack (27th being the 90 day point from when the IDPH supposity received my application, application went out 3/16) but all the activity from Da Gang has me excited, I'm calling this morning when they open... I'll let you all know.

Regarding the email notice mentioned earlier in the blog; Someone mentioned sign up for the updates... who do you sign up with; the IDPH, your assigned dispensary or the doctor's office?

Also (sorry on my third cup of coffee this morning and getting excited reading all these blog posts) regarding the medical group that some of us used to get the application processed.... ive got follow up appointments scheduled for me with the doctor, and they gave me a form to log the different effects of the treatment as I get more familiar with medical marijuana. Which makes sense but does anyone know if those appointments are required by the IDPH or are they simply trying to get more $$$ out of me (us) for the office visits?

Good morning patiently!

I'm itching to call too and I may today if I can't hold out longer lol. Keep us posted on what they say.

Email notice - I believe you are mentioning informed delivery. It's a service offered by USPS. Every morning (close to 8am) they will send you an email with scanned pictures of your mail for the day. It gives you a heads up for what's coming in your mailbox later. I highly recommend you sign up for it. It's free. Just Google informed delivery usps.

Doctor follow ups- it is required by the IDPH that you see your doctor a month or so after receiving your card.

Just curious, did most of you submit on your own or go through an agency/dispensary? Also, if they took the money does that mean you are approved?
I did and most on this blog seemed to have gone that route.

And no my understanding talking with the IDPH a few weeks ago; the medical group you used will have process that payment for IDPH and that seems to be the date the IDPH will have received your application... the date that payment hits your CC.

My group sat on my application for 10 days ... 3/16 was the office visit and 3/27 was when the payment posted to my CC and the IDPH received my application

I think this is all correct???

And BTW for all new members, and Purple you are too nice about medclock :) ... medclock sucks, don't even bother

Hahaha I don't really care about medcardclock. It'd be cool if people sent in their dates so it would be more accurate but you're right, medcardclock currently sucks.

Uh-oh I did not know about the doctor follow up requirement. Does it have to be with the same doc that I originally saw? Does this doctor send in documentation to the IDPH? Thanks in advance for your help Purple and congratulations on getting your card.

Not 100% sure the doc visit is required. I went to Innovative Express Care and they told me I had to see the doctor after getting my card. I also feel like I read that information somewhere else too... but I may be mistaken. I'm going to see the same doctor over a phone visit and my insurance covers it so I don't have to pay out of pocket.

Thanks Purple flower. When you get your card today can you post what requirements for follow up they list (if any)?

congrats!!! If you are with IEC I think you can do your followup appoint via Skype or similar.

I also had IEC submit my app, etc. Informed delivery shows nothing but junk mail for me, but they said that my card was mailed yesterday. so hurry up and wait!
