Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

I just called my local dispensary about this whole card vendor issue. I was a bit worried since I was supposed to get my card within the next 10 days. They said yes there was an issue and I would be getting that letter and it is completely valid will cause no issues on their side. Just wanted to share.

I’ve been follow this thread since I applied back on 11/27. Thanks for everyone’s updates, it’s helped in the waiting process.
I reached out to IDPH this morning and recived this:
Thank you for contacting the Illinois Department of Public Health Medical Cannabis Program. Your email has been received and we will process your request as soon as possible.
Due to a high volume of processing, we CANNOT respond to inquiries about your application status. We will process all applications based on the date received. If additional documents are needed to review your application, you will receive a letter from the program asking for more information along with information on how to submit the documents.
Thank you for your patience. Sincerely, Division of Medical Cannabis
As evidence from this thread, there are clearly people who have waited a lot longer than me, but I was hoping IDPH could at least confirm my application and docs note we’re recived, but not looking good on that front.
I’ll post any other updates I get.
Stay strong brothers and sisters. Let’s hope all our days come eventually and we can finally get some legal relief.

I'm in a thread from the Cannabis Alliance and they received the letter explaining about the cards. I said supposedly because i never believe anything that comes from the State. I'm right there. I should have had my card any day now and then this happened. I'm frustrated!

Unreal...the excuses never stop from this state...they've had my check cashed since the 2nd of this month but still haven't done anything with my application because all the other checks they deposited that day haven't cleared yet...

Just so you guys can get my info about application dates.. Illinois received mine Nov 9th, 2017.
The check was cashed January 12th 2018.
My friend applied Oct 16th and hers is coming to her mailbox today.
My chosen dispensary said temp cards (letters) were mailed out very recently.

FINALLY! Got my letter in the mail! About time. Of course my dispensary of choice is closed on Tuesdays, so i will be there when they open tomorrow.
Wish me luck..... Can't wait to get relief!
Here's my timeline:
App sent 10/23/17
Rec'd. 10/25/17
No word at all until ......
1/16/17 received my letter, not a card until they print them by the end of February.

Got my letter as well! It says it is valid until 2/28. My dispensary closed at 5 and I got home at 5:30, haha so I feel ya.
I sent my application in 10/18, so I received my approval letter exactly 90 days after submission. It says on the letter that I was approved 12/22/2017. Kind of a bummer that the card expires from that date approved, even though I didn't have the opportunity to use it until 25 days after.
Oh Well, Not a big deal. I'm so happy!
