We need a sticky to this here. It seems to be a sort of epidemic. I have been seeing a lot of it and I feel bad for people who have no idea. It can be devastating or a constant bother but there is a cure.

If you don't want to read the whole thread it's Bayer Tree and Shrub and the insect is Phylloxera.

And really all anyone can say at this point is that the Bayer works short term and they have it at home depot but if you read about the insect, it's pretty serious. A really good reason to really dry out between waterings. If you think your yield loss sucks, check this out, "In France alone, total wine production fell from 84.5 million hectolitres in 1875 to only 23.4 million hectolitres in 1889.[1] Some estimates hold that between two-thirds and nine-tenths of all European vineyards were destroyed."

Some people say it's better to just move. 10X worse than fleas. Who knows if it's all hype? I think the government is putting the eggs in potting soil to stop the weeeed maaannnn....
