oh yeah. he is going with ( 8 ) x 3500k CD and (2) 4000K in the center. he may add the 11th cob later on.
Hey man, and thanks for the fast reply :) I reckon having someone cut that out for me here would cost a fortune, as nothing is cheap. And I don't really possess the tools (engineer student) or have the facilities at school to make it myself. But it's an absolute beautiful piece of craft you got there! Looking forward to more pictures, videos and miscellaneous stuff from you in the future man!

Sincerely,
GreEngineer :)

Sure I'll put up a pic. It's not pretty or very elegant. I re-purposed two massive heatsinks to keep it passive and ziptied the attachments. I've got a double timer for the 730. It works real well. I thought optic was still around???

From what I have seen you need like 1 cob minimum per square foot but some are stretching it to 2 square ft per cob but those people are most likely running the cobs at a higher wattage than what the above timber grow lights run. Those light will definitely need 1 per square foot. ( told to me by the owner of timber grow lights, I don't make it up) I just put 1 of there 6 cob 3950 300 watt systems in and it is barely covering a 3x3 in veg and they are small the foot print is smaller than that really .For an 9x11 space you will need 90-100 cobs , 99 would be correct. It's not really worth it. You can light that space with 3 solistek 1000 watt dimmable ballasts and run them on high at 1140 watts with a splitter so you have 6 600 watt lights in that space will grow monsters. I have an 8x8 grow tent and I did that with 2 of those lights and had great coverage and huge buds. Less than 1500 all done. It will cost you 15grand to light your area correctly with cobs and you will still need ac to cool the space . I love the idea of led and they produce nice stuff but the reality of doing it right is for those with a lot of expendable cash . I am not one of them :) that is just my opinion . It will be a sweet grow with all that led power though !

Highly doubt it would take 99 cobs but W/E...lol.
1 cob per square foot would equal 99 . I'm sure you could get away with less . You would have to run the cobs harder which will cost more money for more or bigger drivers. The bigger drivers pull almost as much from the wall as a regular ballast. Well the 600 watt meanwell does . I'm not against led. Just pointing out the realization that I came too after going down the led road myself. But I'm no pro barely know anything about led other than what I've read . Practical app people would have abetted answer for this but it will take a lot of led lights to fill a 9x11 space

Well maybe I'm not thinking right here, but as an example a Johnson cx-9 runs 9 cobs and fills a 4 x 4 foot print. Seems like 2 of those would fill an 8 x 8 foot print, that's 18 cobs... For an 8 x 8.

So again highly doubt it would take 99 cobs to fill a 9 x 11 space with suitable light.

Instead of all those Cobs, 4 Amare Pro-9's running @ 900watts each would replace 4, 1200 watt DE in that space if you had the ceiling height. They are designed to cover a 5'x5' with more light output then a DE. Plus you can score than for $1500-1800 if they're on sale.
@ThaMagnificent , would you mind showing this man your Pro-9! Plus it has in-line cooling option.

I know you're dying to snitch on people but damn. This thread is for suggestions for LEDs. How is NG (no grower) racist?
You're a Moron. Quick, run n tell. You best stay on the computer. You wouldn't last a second on the streets.
How the hell did you get off ignore anyways?
