Growers have a love/hate relationship with light movers==== some get record GPW with them and others say quality/density reduction.......IDK, personally for veg use I see no issue using it

I have no experience with them Shwag

good luck

Hey guys I had a quick inquiry...

First of all, I want to say that I live in Canada, so making my own panel is almost out of the question for me at the moment even though I'd love to.

I have a 3x3 veg tent that recently swapped from HPS to LED (some average stuff) and I'm looking for good options for a 4x4 flowering tent. Money is a slight concern, but at the end of the day I don't want to sacrifice quality and peace of mind. I'm also open to the option of covering a smaller, say 3x4 area and then supplementing with cfls/ufos if you guys think I could still maintain a dense coverage. If someone could offer me a thorough opinion of what I could setup in a 4x4 flowering area to get the best bang for my buck, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :)

Not sure what your budget is since you mentioned money is a slight concern. Flowering out a 4x4 with LEDs is a bit pricey.

A good bang for your buck:

I was very interested and fully sold on the pacific light concepts one...

Had it in checkout and then realized they don't ship to Canada :(

I was especially ready to buy since it's on a 4/20 sale

Sorry man. We are working on it. Canada is a big goal. The new bars, and everything after them should be good to go in canada.

Puff is right as usual...BML/Fluence makes good units, and at their new price is a very good value on the spydr line. The vipr seems the most interesting to me, but limited info/use of them yet.

I'm just saying, those Mars Hydros aren't completely bunk, either. I have seen grows around here that yielded good stuff. Compare reviews on Amazon.

IMHO for the first year, fuck it: it does not matter what you use mars/whatever. most people quit or continue at that mark. good or bad runs, if your still growing after a year, its something you will do for life.

look at this thread: https://www.rollitup.org/t/how-much-longer-till-harvest.905382/

you absolutely don't need, tip-top gear to enjoy growing. but if your aspirations are to grow on a more then personal level, you cant skimp on anything.

I own 5 Mars units and only use them for veg now. They can't compete with HPS for flower.

Interestingly though, i have just started using the 700w Mars inbetween my two 600w HPS during flower, and actually it does seem to help....but i wouldn't flower with the Mars units on their own.

Hey guys I was reading in some grow logs (http://rollitup.org/t/led-closet-grow-with-auto-og-and-six-shooter.905831/#post-12508605) came across his YouTube and website. http://www.growpotcheaply.com/#!perfect-sun-1000/e9su1

Been watching his channel seems like hes a decent grower, but wanted your thoughts on the light, or if any ones used it ect.

that's darn near apache price range, might as well save and get a proven light platform. one of the guys here said, there are so many on the LED hype train, tons of companies from everywhere. you don't know what your getting. if I was going single LEDs, I think I would pass on this one, its still using the pinkish light. Get white LED apache: we know what's in them and they are proven in its segment.

I ended up going with an Amare 450. For the cob lights and the multi spec for the colors as well as the uvb. But I ran across that log was wondering what people thought. His youtubes pretty good, but not really much info I am seeing listed on the web site. Video goes on about some very strong readings so was wondering if any one seen it before.

I have seen, the same 450 lit up in a 5x5, upgraded from 2 600 mars. his PQ last run was definitely improved in both yield/and jar appeal. their single LED units where not bad, but not stand out either. they have sort of a checked past, I think they have changed management at some point.

really interested on your data on this product. please.

Thanks a lot Sooled, what do you think about the 5000k is it necesary with 4 cxb3590 3500k, some post are old before the cxb3590 3500k, and they add the 5000k for siblings and veg , but most new post are just CXB3590 3000k or 3500k , but they dont add the 5000k.. will make a diference or not really? have not found that info yet... thanks
