I think it should fit in the cases. That's the model they use in their finished product. Just want to make sure if I got the right model I need, as most of ppl on RIU don't recommed.

I'd totally do it. Buy that fixture and swap out the cobs and drivers. Boom.

What do you guys think of these cheap COBs?
They're really cheap 3500K, 12V forward voltage and they appear to work with 1A (the large ones), but they don't specify the max current...

What is truly surprising is the price on them... 8x 12W COBs for 16USD. Who knows if they will perform well lol
The MW driver HLG-120H-C1400 could handle 10 of them, but I'd have to ask what the max current on these cobs is... If it's below 1.6a I'd probably go for the C1050...
I'd also need to figure out a way to attach these COBs to the heatsink, as they don't seem to be compatible with any COB holder that I've seen...

there are NO 6 watt chips, these are scam lights. I've had more than one of the seller booted off ebay, that's why they go toamazon, harder to get rid of them.....

Its your money........ you'd probably get better results from name brand 5 watt chips, these look like junk.

Thanks guys, but the thing is, if these COBs work well, assuming that their efficiency isn't below 50% and that their working current is going to be 1a, you could have a better distribution on the canopy by buying 4 of these than 1 CXB3590 run at 1.4a, at 1/5th of the price... I know it sounds too good to be true, which is why I'm dying to test them lol... You're probably right though, but for 16 USD I think I'll try them out just for fun

Yep... 16USD would be for 8 of them... But touché, why bother figuring out how to mount them if the Vero 18s have a mount. Thanks @PurpleBuz

Should I run my 4 CXB3070s at 1050mA or 1400mA?
I'm on the fence about which driver to get.
Either HLG-120H-C1050B or HLG185H-C1400B.
Is it better to get the 185H to improve effiency or stick to 120H, since I really want to stay around 200 Watts with my whole grow box.

Furthermore, alongside my main grow lights I am also planning to build a flower-initiator with about 10-15 IR-Diodes.
I'm using EpiStar LEDs, (pretty much) the same ones as the ones you can get from Steve's LEDs.
Now people are recommending either the MeanWell LPC60-1050 to me, or the MeanWell LDD-700H or MeanWell LDD-1000H if I want to run more than 3-4 on one tiny driver.
But wouldn't it fry the LEDs if they have a max current of 700mA?

Am I missing something here?

What is the difference between a cxb3590 @ 1750mA & and cxb3070@1400mA ?

Im looking at these on alibaba and i really like 450 watts rather then 540 watts. ( 30x30 inch table).

450 watt version cxb3070
540 watt version cxb3590

Im curious is there a HUGE difference between cxb3590 and cxb 3070 ?

Total newb here.

Yeah run a 600 watt HPS in that 2x4 tent.....you know that $150 you spent? Well now that you see your plants baking..... you'll drop another $300 to upgrade your ventilation system.... already closing in on that LED.

And 600s are pretty efficient as far as production lights go. Not as good as DIY or high quality LEDs, but none of those fit the bill/budget.

I've run 600s in smaller tents than a 2x4 with an inline fan with no issues in summer in Southern California. Running it without the fan definitely could cause problems.
