Screw expensive American made LEDs. I'm going cheap and ordering LEDZeal S600. I get 2 for the price of one.
What did you pay for the units and what leds are they running?

at least paying two for one means when one fucks up you have the second one available...or you could've just paid for one that wouldnt fuck up...

I paid nothing. You seem butthurt about any product that's not made in America / Canada.

You will be replying on a Chinese machine.

I believe LED technology is here to stay and old bulb technology is on it's way out. It's just going to be a few more years and all lighting will be LED -home lighting, stadium lighting, work lighting…everything. It's just a more efficient way to make light! The AT600 is waaaay overpriced…no doubt about it. But the technology is here and many people are perfecting it as we speak. Prices WILL come down in the next few years.

Does anyone have or know someone that has a SGS-160 and RW-150. I see A51 brought a few of the 160's back. IF i can go bigger than the rw75 which light would be a better buy. Space is 2x2x5. Not worried about height. That's what the LST, trellis, etc. is for. Just curious how they stack up and perform against each other.

Do the math, a 760 w AT600 is about the same as 4 A51 lights. If you need that much...:peace:

An American assembled light with a lifetime warranty doesn't seem too bad.

The main thread is littered with A51 grows......

They're basically the same thing, but one is this years model, and the other is last years model.
The RW's have more efficient diodes, thus, they should perform slightly better than the SGS.
If you're looking to save some money, the SGS is a steal at its new lower price, I would grab some myself if I had the funds.

All i wanted to know. Preciate it! Funny how RIU seems to be predominately A51 bias and GC is topled bias. Maybe one day i'll get into the DIY LED. Nothing better than DIY when you succeed at it. But right now i'm not trying to burn down anything or anyone. ha

I've noticed that GC is also sponsered quite heavily by topled. They do seem pretty good bang for buck though, but I'm pretty sure its more a result of marketing rather than actual results. The reason A51 gets such a good rep around here is because they provide all the information regarding their components. Same as the onyx from rapidled. They can honestly tell the customer what they are getting. A lot of the 'china panels' will say things like "Cree and epistar led chips!!" when in reality only a small amount of LEDs if any at all are actually cree, epistar or whateve else.

There are too many companies that are rebranding chinese fishtank led panels and simply changing out some of the spectrum to make it more appealing for growers. They do not care about efficiency. They will grab any old 630nm led and stick on the panel. A lot of them are using the same LEDs that they put into shop signs.....(damn zenor diodes). But the whole point of going to LED is to be able to grow like a hps with a significant reduction in heat and power consumpion. Panels consisting of low efficiency LEDs are really going to struggle to match the output of a quality panel made with the best available components. I would take 100w of a51/apachetech/onyx over 200w of 'generic grow led' simply because the actual light output will be higher per watt.

Also, a lot of people like the lifetime warranty, appreciate the service and would prefer to buy something made in the USA rather than china. I personally don't care either way, because I am not american, and 99% of everything I own or will own will come from china, but I can certainly see the appeal.

So while it does occasionally feel like a bit of an area 51 ciclejerk around here, but it is only because they work as advertised. You ALWAYS get what you pay for, and for many people paying a little extra is worth it to them.

What do you guys think about 6 H150 blue Kessils with 2 H350 magentas for two 4x4s? These spectrums are what was offered to me for a great deal.

well theres a deal and then theres too good to refuse...If they are too good to refuse then grab then and at worst you can always use them as supplemental...

hit Mohican up with a PM and ask him how he finds the lights....

To new at this game, but did jump in feet first.
Now if one looks at the post "LED tower" and at the bottom is a pic of it all lite up. At the top is the hyper red LED's and they do not look so bright. I guess I am thinking they should be, but maybe not.
Any how, later on checking amp's and voltage shit happened. Not sure what I did, but HR does not light up, getting out put voltage from driver, beginning to think it is just to much EUC-025S045DS Inventronic's model.
the 8 HR Leds calculated to 6.4w-16v at 400mA, driver is 25w at 450mA with a voltage range of 19 to 56 volts and .09 to .45A .When it was working the string of 8 pulled 15.54 volts.
problem is they will not light up now, did a test with multimeter and 5 out of 8 do show dim light and other 3 do not. Does this mean they are blown open?
