the 1.4A looks to be good from 114-228VDCI guess I'm officially confused.
The confused part was the part that the 2100 doesn't run on 110v. Data sheet says it does.Yep so add up the vf of the led your going to use to match the driver. The 2100 should run 4 vero 29 or 4 cxb3590 or 4 cxb3070. The 1400 should run 6 of all the above.
Look at datasheet of each cob and look at vf at the current each driver puts out.
Really? That would be awesome.Plus I believe it also has an auxiliary 12 volt output for fans?
Looking back at the data sheet I believe the aux is to be used for dimming function with a set resistor inline to set your dimming not for running external sources.Plus I believe it also has an auxiliary 12 volt output for fans?
For simplicity sake you could order the optic. But if you want to get even better efficiency I say you build your own DIY CXB3590/CXB3070/Vero 29I have a purple sun led cob 384w, draws 180 actual watts. I ordered it off amazon and am pleased with the results. It seems it's outperforming my 600w HPS I have in the same closest running next to it. I use these for flowering in a 6' x 2' closest.
I'm looking to replace the 600w HPS with some more LEDs. I figured I have three options. I could order 3 more of the purple sun lights. I could buy a nice, single optic light, vero 18 or vero 29 light. The third would be building it myself. I have made a couple small cob leds fixtures for my veg cab, so I have some relative idea on building.
My point here is that i was hoping to get some thoughts and opinions from others to see what my best option would be. They all seem appealing to me, all of them having their own pros and cons personally. Also other options are also welcome.

Yeah I'm trying to figure out if I have the time to build one up. Obviously, like you said, it'd be easier to just buy an optic. For simplicity sake you could order the optic. But if you want to get even better efficiency I say you build your own DIY CXB3590/CXB3070/Vero 29
To cover the full 6'x2' I would go with 8 V29 @ 1.4A or 8 CXB3070/CXB3590 @ 1.4A listed in order of efficiency.Yeah I'm trying to figure out if I have the time to build one up. Obviously, like you said, it'd be easier to just buy an optic.
Well which size would you go with on the optic?
Also, if I can build, how many vero 29's and size drivers would you suggest?
The 8 vero 29s sound perfect, no need to use the purple sun if I can replace them with veros. To cover the full 6'x2' I would go with 8 V29 @ 1.4A or 8 CXB3070/CXB3590 @ 1.4A listed in order of efficiency.
You can run 6 from Invertronics EUC-320S140DT(ST)
4 from HLG-185H-C1400
3 from HLG-120H-C1400
This would give you 33.33 w/sq ft to cover entire 6'x2' but you can tone it down if you still want to use the purple sun led with it.
I would rec 300 to 400 watts Vero29 or CXBi dont know anything at all about leds accept that they are cheaper to run then other type of lights and can potentially get the same yeild as say a 1000w hps. Which would be my best choice in a 3x3x6 dr90 grow tent. something equaling 1000wHps
