veg your plant untill its as tall as it can be in there (10 inches maybe?) then flatten her out in a scrog fashion using super cropping. place screen over if you want.

this will make your plant go from 10" to maybe 2-3" but the footprint (space the plant covers as opposed to height ) will be increased!!

Light proofing takes air flow as you have already found out with your blanket attempt and if you have to hide your tv what is the point of using it as a grow cab? Anyway got shocked by electricity and its too damn hot in TV so i moved back to closet....

Vert lights are better for supplementing, stick to top horz lights. Think of it this way, in nature the sun is above plants, not to the side, behind, etc. You'll have better luck with a light above, while supplementing with lights on the side.

Only reason i moved to TV is temps,was thinking it will be lower,anyhow now i need to buy some 120mm fan and cut the holes in my closet which i dont like to do alot
(my first grow was hermie and im guessing it was temps who hermied him)
