No. Soil is different than hydro or soilless. The soils pH should ideally be good before you plant. You can add things like gypsum and various sulphur compounds to lower soils ph. Dolomite lime or hydrated lime to raise and help stabilize your pH. You want your water and feed solutions to ideally be between 6.5-7.0. As time goes by and salts from fertilizer build up the soils pH naturally drops a little.

So youre saying that if i want my soil at 6.4 and i water at 6.4 but the runoff comes out at 5.8 then i should water using 7.0 the next time? Or immediately?
