Ideas on how to go perpetual.

Well, my grow is about 2 1/2 weeks since pistils, and at the moment is not perpetual.

I can't bear the thought of waiting this long again for a harvest, plus I would like my growing to supply my smoking habits, and then some.

Which at the moment will not happen.

I've tried cloning a few times with no success, once with this grow with little results.

I do have plenty of seeds, from good bagseed strains. But then I have to deal with male problems.

Also I only have 1 grow room at the moment. It is possible for me to throw a growbox together. but my budget is very tight so I dont have enough for a growbox and Femmed seeds.

I have plenty of old cfl's from previous grows laying around, and a lot of supplies to throw a box together with little to no cost.

My grow room now under my 400w MH is a DWC system with 3 plants in a 13 gallon res. I have 2 netpots available for use.

Should I try to clone again for male safety, and grow time reduction?

Should I not waste even more valuable bud-sites on another failed cloning attempt?

Should I try to pop some seeds in some sort of small homemade hydro system til my other plants harvesr, then throw them in the rubbermaid?

In any case I NEED some ideas and other stoner minds working on my problem if possible!

I would love to have year round weed.

My current grow is in my sig for more info and pics of my growroom.

Thanks for any input or help

Your best option would be building a second grow room to house a mother plant with enough room to start out clones as well. Cfls would be fine for sustaining your mother/s and vegging clones/plants before switching them to flower with you hps.

well im making the transition at the moment, my sativas take about 16 weeks and frankly its demoralizing. i understand i need constant weed... anyway i have my 600w hps stationary in a room, every 12 hrs i pull my cabinet(just put wheels on) into a darkroom i made and swap with another cabinet.. 2 cabinets/tents is a must so your not moving pots and trying to keep plants upright etc.. anyway the dark room, i picked up 300 sqft of black plastic sheeting for 6 bucks stapled it to my ceiling in fairly big square...the closet in that bedroom has my mommas and a shelf for clones... easy peasy bro:)

I would like to ask what your yields are currently?

With a 400w I generally pull upwards of 400g.

Last harvest was some cheese at 439g dry.

I used to use a mother box with a 200w (actual watts) cfl with a small 24w T5HO fixture.

I vegged a mother under the 200w and used the 24w over a propogator for cloning.

All contained within a 2x3x4.5 box using of fans to cool it.

Here let me link you a thread I did on it.

https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/368478-mother-box-design-setup.html

Personally though 400g lasts me well more than crop to crop.

well ive never added it up..i expect 2oz per plant 8 plants per cabinet under the 600 so roughly 448 grams per cabinet or 896 grams total output under my 600 watt hps.. not as good as yours, you would probly pull twice me anyway... thats 16 plants total for 1 plant a week.

what do yall get

Believe it or not I used to use a 600w.

My biggest harvest using it was 345g. Lol. Then the police took it all away so I had to restock my area. Since that time I've found a good nute formula that I'm happy with that gives me great yields and healthy plants.

It would have been nice to continue using a 600w to see what I could have accomplished.

not trying to hijack the thread sorry guys, what nutes do you use. ive always gotten shit for it but i use mg bloom booster. used it for years before growing weed so it was my instinct to stick, works pretty good

If you don't mind saying, how did they catch you?

Unfortunately one man knew what I was doing as he helped me with construction of my rooms.

Needless to say he has a big mouth. Told someone who was also growing that I was growing and that person got busted and blabbed to save himself.

I use the following.

B'CUZZ coco 80/20 coco perlite
Canna aqua vega 6-3-8 the whole way through
Cannazym
Rhizotonic
Pk1314
Mono Ca
Mono Mg
Potassium Silicat

In 18L water container I use
Vega A and B between 24ml-45ml
Rhizotonic 2ml per litre during veg . 0.5ml per litre during flowering.
Cannazym 2.5ml per litre
Pk1314 during flower from week3 at 0.5ml-1.5ml depending upon development
Ca 6ml per 18litres veg and flower
Mg 3ml per 18litres veg and flower
Potassium silicate for pH up during veg and 0.5ml per litre during flowering.

It seems alot but its simple to me. Lol. I've been using canna for nearly 4yrs.

I also inoculate with mycorrhizae and Trichoderma fungi.

lol i dont even know what to say after that.. i use mg and add pinches until it looks like coolaid. next watering a pinch or 2 of epson with some molasses.. once i have my room dialed ill figure out nutes.i use mainly perlite whats the reasoning for your 80/20 coco mix.... so op you got some ideas?

This is exactly why I have been in arguments over de-foilation till Im blue in the face with the trashmouths on here.

First off these plants have grown wild for thousands of years, they have been attacked by animals, bugs, weather, been trampled and eatin. Droughts, fires. and winds also play a role in evaloution of these plants. These are all natural occurances that this wonderful plant has had to deal with and it has flourished.

So back to the comment, take as many lower shoots as you want for cloning you won't hurt your yeild one bit...its called energy plant transfer. They have come to expect a rough ride, mother nature isn't the nicest. Removing leaf and growing shoots(suckers)will not hurt the plant or its yeild(using common sence, that is)so don't be afraid do some reading and stop listening to people on here

This place is for advice what you do with it is up to you but for me its a place to start the research and eliminate questions.

What's up with the clones? It can take awhile to master it, but you shouldn't stop trying. If you cut your branches correctly, get some rockwool (adjust to 5.5 ph), some rooting powder, and keep them moist and you will be successful. Think Positive! You also can fork over some cash and by a EZclone machine, which I use, and get almost a 100% success rate. Keep trying, that is the secret to success, and good luck. Peace

Better drainage and air with the mix of 80/20.

I use EC to monitor nutrient strength that's why I said between certain ml's.

Like I said it may not be easy to some but its easy for me because I know the nutes like the back of my hand.

Nutes are as good as the person using them.

The trick is to learn with them and develop your own feeding regime.

A dialed in room for environmental control is the BIGGEST factor in yield IMO followed by nutrients after that.

Thank you everyone for the great advice!

Maybe I am giving up on cloning a bit early...

my plants are about 3 weeks into flower now so I suppose if i'm going to try and take more clones it will have to be friday or saturday (my days off this week)

COMA SHALL TRY AGAIN

Perpetual here I come!
and Jonda, I havent gotten a harvest in about 2 years (just been helping people out) but i've never pulled 400 g's with my 3 bagseed plants :( That's some weight!
Wish me luck, thanks again for all the comments, i'll return the favor

p.s
I can ph my water, I have rockwool, but i dont have any cloning agent, is it really THAT much more helpful, because i've had mixed reviews.
