We dry, then freeze, then bubble bag it.
sometimes we've dried it and didnt freeze it..no change in flavor or quantity to me.

you can dry or not. Personally... it just makes more sense to me... to freeze the stuff immediately after cutting down a plant. then make hash a few hours later. You don't have to freeze it for a long time. Just make sure it's frozen through... maybe 3-4 hours.

when you mix everything, your water and everything in it, will appear very green. The hash you extract will also look very green. It will turn more amber as it dries.

The trick, and I think this is more of the case if using fresh trim, is to make sure the leaf is frozen.. and make sure it stays very cold all the way through mixing (be careful how you pour your possibly warmish water in).

If you did a good job in making your hash, it will bubble when you smoke it.

Fwiw I've always bubbled bone-dry bud or trim. The agitator does a great job of breaking the plant material fine enough to release all the goods, but not so fine that it goes through the bags. It's always worked for me, and it really takes the hurry out of processing trim. cn
