exactly. Ive also heard hydro doesnt taste as good as soil, but I am not so sure on how true that is. But I am a fan of soil. Hydro is too much work/money and if you have a leak while your at the dentist or some shit. Well your screwed lol... Check out my grow log if you car. (link in my signature)

Not sure on how big your plant is couldnt really tell, I'd say a guestimate of 5-9 inches. So, if it were me, I would be watering it every other day with about half the recommended amount. When the plant starts to get larger you can increase the amount of your nutrients. You might even be able to do 3/4 the amount or 2/3 the amount it says to add on the back. I'm not really to experienced with those, but if I am getting away with watering these little babies once a week with 21-7-14 MG formula, then I am almost positive you can get away with watering every other day with that stuff. It can't really hurt to much, but if you see your plant starts to discolor or starts doing anything odd, you should cut back on the nutes. I doubt that will happen though.

"run off" will never be accurate so dont worry bout that at all ...... you got good soil an feed them good food so your ph will stay intact unless you way overfeed or overwater.

in fact its very hard to get a ph reading from dirt with any meter on the market.

give um "full strength" for 2 waterings strait , then i personally would go every other water from there. you aint gonna over do it with that food.

i dont think those numbers are right for big bloom ?

its a preference thang. some folks grew up on water, so their taste buds want that taste. most older folks grew up on "skunk" grown in the ground and the only way to get that skunky , earthy taste is from dirt .... the better the dirt the better the plant.

I would be watering it every other day with about half the recommended amount.
dont ever water soil unless its time to water..... that depends on many factors. (pot size, temps, plant size , plant health an on an on) Never go by someone elses setup when it comes to watering your soil.
just lookin at your pics , i would guess your watering bout every 4 to 6 days ?

your roots will grow right back , dont worry about that.
It does seem like they have not fully rooted the whole pot yet , so be very carefull with overwatering. a lot of times the bottom of the pot still has plenty of water left in it when the top 3/4 is bone dry , so just keep going by weight , that is by far the best way.
If your not getting any run off at all , then you should probably let them dry out a bit more then usual.

do everything you already had planned , just watch the water real close.

ok sounds great thanks alot.. I am foliar(sorry if my spelling is off not my strongest area...) feeding them till the roots pickup and things turn around..I do it right before i give them a few hours of sleep...Is this something you recommend keeping up???Its very very dilluted and never spray under the lights so they wont get burn spots....Thanks everyone again you guys are saving my newb ass....

so here are my 4 vegging plants. all grown the same 2 are perfectly fine one is good showing some signs as the last and as you can see the last is getting worse and worse on me ... Again thanks for any help!:peace:IMG_0157.jpgIMG_0158.jpgIMG_0159.jpgIMG_0160.jpgIMG_0161.jpg

Also the first one is in a 5 gal pot hoping to keep her as a mother if see stays looking good. I have another 5 gal pot would it help to put the worst one in there and also could i bury the stock where the leaves fell off??would roots grow there if i scrap it or anything???The new groth look really healthy and can see some roots and all white....Im lost as to what to do....

she can an will recover , she just needs to dry out real good before watering again. it might take longer then you want but she'll recover.
Make sure you start all of them on your food just soon as they dry out real good. (i got a couple i have been waiting a month for them to dry out all the way.)
