Ice Hash

I was thinking about buying a 5 bag hash kit, and wanted to know if anyone has ever used this method? is it worth doing? How much hash will you get from a pound of dried leaves?

plenty of people use this method bro.... the average ratio for trim to hash is about 10:1.... so with a pound, i would say it would be more than worth it for you to do

research gumby hash and then decide for yourself.

gumby hash is bubble hash without bags and it all comes out together not in low to high grade

i tried the gumby method, and the bho method this past harvest. i used about a half pound of leaf and got a decent amt. of hash from it. it was ok. but was it worth the effort? idk. imho, not really.to messy for not enuff product. but i was going to buy the bubble bags for the coming season and see if it made a difference in the quality/quantity.
the bho method produces some good stuff, but it takes so much to make so little idk if its really worth it in the end. but it is some good shit tho. (the bho) anyway, my advice is to buy the bags if u can afford it so u can seperate the plant material from the resin glands. and (if u have enuff) make u an extractor and try the bho, form ur own opinion on that one. like i say, i like it (the honey oil) but it takes ALOT to make a little, plus the cost of the butane.hope this helps

Whats a lot to make a little how much trim for how much honey oil

i didn't use trim for the honey oil, i used bud, i used trim for the gumby. i made 2 diff extractors. the first 1 i used 3/4 inch dia. 9 inch long piece of cpvc, and it was to small to hold much more than a 1/4 oz. of bud at a time. so i got some 1 in. pvc and 6 in long and it would hold a little more than a 1/2 oz. of bud. i hesitated to use the reg. pvc cause is rumored to give off harmful toxins that the cpvc doesn't. idk. now i cant claim exactly how much oil i made since i never actually weighed it out. the first batch i didn't have enough butane (2 48 g cans is all i had and prob. needed at least 4 cans) the second batch, using the bigger extractor, i had plenty of butane, and it made enuff oil to smear 2 papers w/ and dribble some on some bud once or twice (cant remember for sure if it was 1 or 2 j's i put it on. this was back in oct.)
my guess about the approx. amt of oil to bud would be something like 1-1.5g of oil to every one oz. of bud. but again thats just my guess. honey oil is really good shit. i loved the end product. its just that the butane was $3-4 per can, and then using so much bud. but after having said all that i'll prob end up making some this coming season when i get bored. lol.

That seems complicated i like how easy the ice bag method seems, I just wish i knew somebody who has tried it.

I bought the 5 Gal Bubble Bags off EBay a while back. Great price by the way. They work great. I place my trim in a 5 gal bucket with ice and stir with a paint mixer attached to a drill. I then pour the contents into another 5 gal bucket with the bubble bags. I ran the same trim 4 times this way and got hash each time. I highly recommend the Bubble bags and running your trim several times thru the process to get the most hash.
