I would like your opinions on soil nutes

I will be switching my nutrients this upcomming grow from botanicare to some thing new or different. I would like your input and opinions. It doesnt necessarily need to be the most expensive line out there although I will be considering Advanced Nutrients and House and Gardens soil line. Any help would be much appreciated. What do you soil growers use?

I was gonna tell you to not use Bio-Bizz, but I saw you're not considering it. Im using Fox Farms Liquid trio myself and am happy with the results thus far.

For shits n giggles, feel free to check my second grow album and you can see why I dont like Bio-Bizz.

i really like Advanced Nutrients, but i have to admit I haven't used it in soil before.

I looked at the AN website for you and I think there are soil growing tips on there as well as hydro...

actually, if you look at the packaging you can see directions for soil groiwng too for many kinds of nutes -

i think AN has some directions on there bottles too

i might be confusing this with another site tho, so call up the customer service line before you listen to me LOL

:hump:

Well the monkey juice is coco only, I use the VHO and wet betty and seaweed on clones/mothers/vegging plants. Carbo load i use during flower its extra carb's for the plants to use. I spray mother earth tea bloom for flowering plants with wet betty and seaweed (well till about week 5-6). The bud blood is an early flower starter (it takes about a week flower time off the plants no lie) its the first part of a 3 phase feeding process Bud blood for the first week, then big bud for the next 3 weeks and then over drive for 2 more (after that its flush time unless you have longer flowering plants. Juicy roots is for my cloning :weed:
However AN is comming out with some crazy stuff, they are combining some nutes together and comming out witrh this PH Perfect nute.

What is PH Perfect you may be thinking?

"Now we've created a nutrients technology that balances and maintains a grower's pH automatically without the use of any equipment, metering or adjusting with chemicals, it's all done for you," Higgins says. "That's because today's primitive hydroponics nutrients have failed to change with the times, so they lack the state-of-the-art chelates, compounds, binders, ingredients and manufacturing processes that our new class of nutrients have."

I recieved an email from mike (works for AN) not to long ago and it should be out in early 2010. Finally wont have to worry bout PH ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was some of the first nutes I used and they do work quite well, but once I saw the stuff urbangrower puts out and the others that use AN I had to try and got hooked on the products :weed:

But floranova grow and bloom is great to use.

yea i use AN to that bud blood is the shit but i only use AN during flowering really i got General Hydroponics flora series for veg but i was thinking they might need a lil more nutes so i might check out that wet betty to use during veg..and ill probably get some of that carbo load to..do u think molases works just as good as carbo load? usually i just use molases id have to read what carbo load has in it first tho

Wet betty is awesome. You know how when you spray your plants the spray leaves droplets? With Wet Betty it dont leave them making it "safer" to spray when lights are on. Theres also other stuff in there that helps bring out the taste and other stuff. Juicy roots is for cloning, I used to use olivas rooting gel, but started using Juicy roots and the little clone babies were much happier, they dont take as long to root, much better success rate. I never had any probs with any of AN's stuff well except for the fact they discontinued Monkey Juice (the best coco nute out) They claimed that something was coming out in its place but have yet to see it (which is why I am using soil atm :p)

Yes actually I know people that use molasses throughout their entire grow, I use it in flower along with big bud. I'd prob use it more in veg and flower but after awhile the molasses starts to attract bugs

Foliar spray and root zone, you mix 1-2 ML per liter, you can use it by itself or with other sprays as well. I like to make a mix of things. VHO (very high output) is a wonderful vegetation accelerator. You will notice a difference for sure, you spray once a day (with the wet betty). Every 2 weeks I add the seaweed extract (as recommend on the bottle). The seaweed extract can also be applied in the soil but I just use it for spray only. You can go to walmart and get some cheapo seaweed extract but I like sticking with AN those guys know what they doing

VHO
VHO is a powerful vegetative growth producer which will force your mother plant to produce enormous amounts of new shoots quicker, giving you profuse amounts of cuttings. In many annual plant varieties VHO will induce stem elongation, and internodal stretching. VHO also stiffens the stems for easier sticking. VHO can be used on your production crop as well to shorten your vegetative time for a quicker crop turnover time.
Wet Betty
Wet Betty Organic is the worlds superior non-ionic surfactant. Our research scientists tested organic surfactants to find the ones that would best transport nutrients into your plants. Wet Bettys proprietary 100% organic surfactants deliver nutrients, hormones and bio-catalytic agents directly to leaves and roots for immediate use by plants. Multiple, organic transfectants were blended to create this unique growth-enhancing formula. Wet Betty Organic contains naturally-occurring steroidal and triterpenoid saponins derived from Yucca and Quillaja, which are deserts plant known to contain many compounds that benefit plants and humans. These saponins help plants resist stress, manufacture phytohormones, and deliver larger harvests. Yucca and Quillaja extracts deter the development of root knot nematodes and other harmful fungi. Wet Betty Organic includes aromatic terpenoids that contribute to nicer taste and aroma. Some people believe surfactant products are only useful for foliar feeding, but they are also useful in the root zone, where they lower the surface tension of root media such as soil and sphagnum moss so root media and roots can better absorb water and nutrients. If youre an organic grower trying to get the biggest bang for every buck you spend on agricultural supplies, Wet Betty Organic is the slickest way to get more into (and out of) your plants.
Seaweed Extract
Grandma Enggy and her family always look forward to their yearly working vacation at the seashore, where they collect special nutrient-rich seaweed to make Grandma’s famous Sensational Seaweed Extract. We’ve upgraded her formula, using the best seaweed and extracting techniques to create a product containing natural seaweed-derived growth stimulants, vitamins, antibiotics, auxins, gibberellins, nutrients and antibiotics. Our product conditions soil and other root media, stimulates beneficial bacteria, and increases cell replication, metabolism, growth rate and harvest production. Vitamins present in Sensational Seaweed Extract include vitamin C (ascorbic acid), two Vitamin A precursors, important B vitamins ( B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B12, as well as pantothenic acid, folic acid and folinic acid), vitamin E (tocopherol), vitamin K, and other growth-promoting substances. The vitamin E in seaweed is particularly useful for agricultural crops because it has a complete set of isomers, making it similar to vitamin E that is found usually in seed oils such as wheat germ oil. Grandma’s Sensational Seaweed Extract contains natural chelates that assist uptake of nutrients. You can use our product in the root zone and as a foliar spray. It is a superior foliar spray because it stimulates metabolic processes in the leaf so crops can use leaf-locked nutrients. Grandma’s extract contains natural antibiotics, so crops develop resistance to spider mites, aphids, scab, mildew and fungi

Wow! thank you everyone for your responses! I wasnt expecting so much feedback. As far as my setup. Im running three 600's in a 10x10. Only utilizing half the room though. My next grow will be a scrog. I have bud blood already from AN and bud candy as well. But like mentioned previously, AN is more of a hydro line so I was kinda sketchy on that. There soil line is organic as well.

DaveCoulier- I used biobizz 2 grows ago and HATED it. Thanks for keeping the good word though.

I was also looking into cutting edge as it says you can use it for hydro or soil. Have heard that its low in salt build up and has PH buffers. Would be nice to use with some AN additives. Thanks again for all your help guys thats awesome.
