I want to squeeze 5 (final) pots into a 2x4 tent

Try 5 2 gallon buckets ( homer buckets), they’ll fit in just fine plus its more like 3 gal of soil that fit. In them. Study and around 3 bucks a bucket

Depends on the plants, you running 5 photos? You might be able to flip early and just have 5 small plants. I wouldn't try this with autos. I only run one plant per 2x2 area myself. My tent is 4x4 so I run up to 4 plants in it. I used 5 gallon pots last time but think next run I should use 7 or 10 gallon cause damn were they thirsty during stretch.

Five photos, from regular seeds which is the real issue. I need the plants to grow big enough to obtain cuttings from so that I can sex them outside the tent to figure out which is which. And that will take up to three weeks (or longer).

I don't think I'll have five plants growing in there by the end of it all, trying to hit two birds with one stone here: I'd like a male and a female so I can pollinate a flower and get more seeds and then take whatever females I get from this run and continue growing for harvest.

Why not reverse a female polinate get femenised seeds then do a sea of green.

You can allsoo send a leaf for testing you can get instant sex coata 10-30$ if i remember

1. Obtaining feminized seeds is my end goal. You need two female plants for that to work, I have ten regular seeds and a very limited amount of space to do this in. I'm more than likely going to get multiple male plants, I might as well put them to good use. I'd feel more secure if I had between thirty and fifty seeds instead of just ten.

2. I tried to google nearby services for this. It didn't look like there were any nearby labs (I'm in Canada, not the US).

I’d flip at three weeks and with proper training you can fill the tent with 2 plants or 5 plants. My flower tent is always jam packed, it drives me nuts when I see these flower rooms with all kinds of open space. Just my too sense.

In reference to #1. You do NOT need 2 female plants to get feminized seeds. Just 1 female. Revered, will pollinate itself (with female pollen) giving you feminized seeds. Speaking from experience
Otherwise I would do 2 gallon pots if I was fitting in 5 plants. If u don't plan on growing them all out the hole way then it saves u soil on the ones you don't end up keeping. And u can always pot up the keepers to 5 gal if u so choose

I had heard it was 50/50 males and females, which I'd imagine would more than likely be closer to 60/40 males or females.

Regardless, if this is the case, it makes my life/job a lot easier lol.

As for the 2gallon pots, I'd imagine it's probably easier to transplant that as opposed to a 3gallon pot?

And one final question, can I get seeds from exposing the plant to a 12/12 cycle of blue light or does the process require red light exposure?

Light spectrum will not pollinate or seed out female plants. Unless you are stressing them out with the light. In which case females can and will produce seeds when they are stressed as a last ditch effort to carry on their gene's. But any seeds harvested this way have a high chance of easily stressed and seeding out as well.

i could only fit maaybe two plants the right strain in a 2x4 in 2 gallon pots the way i grow with lst no topping or atleast until right before flower a good week if i top at all. idk how yall would fit that many in there i could only veg for 4 weeks thats what id do if i were you might get away with usin g3 gallon pots with the right strain. id do a indica thats short if i were you. you can zip tie the lights to the top of the tent if you rum out of light room if will add like 4 or 5 inches if you take off ur adjuster things idk what their called lol and 4 weeks veg 6-8 weeks flower. (had a plant finish in 44-45 days once) in flower. lst bro lst might get away with 5 weeks veg photoperiods anyway. if youre wanting fem seeds why not just take a clone and do that in a seperate area or outside during veg time once its rooted and established. that way you get fem seeds with the cordial silver or whatever never doen it myself and you dont have hermies to risk or whatever
