My name is Jessica. I am 24. I am currently living in North Carolina. I have always had a passion for marijuana. I would love to go to California and learn how to grow. I do not have money to go to school and learn. if anybody here grows and would like help i would love the experience.
Hi Jessica,
Even though we have only just met I can tell we will become great friends (if you're slim and attractive) or distant acquaintances (if you're not).
I'm English and we're all aristocratic gentlemen with castles, mansions and syphilis - Just like our future King, His Royal Magnificence, Prince Charles.
Why would you have to go to California to learn?
Growing Equipment
What have you got?
What can you get?
What do you already know (if anything)?
I know that BWG7098 said that 'Outdoor growing is more forgiving' but not in December.
What are the average temperatures and sunshine hours in North Carolina?
Wasn't 'DELIVERANCE' filmed there....?
I wouldn't go walking around the lonely, dark Carolina woods if inbred hillbillies were roaming around with banjo's and shotguns.
Anyway, back to helping 24year old Jessica.
(A woman reaches her peak at 25years, 1 month and 16 days).
You could start preparing all you'll need, then wait till next year.
Start some seeds off indoors and plant them outside when the frosts have definitely finished...?
But the ground, where you want to plant them, will need preparing - if you want to give them the best chance.
INDOORS
TBH I think INDOOR GROWS are easier to control, easier to watch and far less likely to get you raped and murdered by hillbillies.
Some closet space (or a small tent), the best and biggest grow light you can afford....The best genetics (seeds/cuttings) you can afford*
*This could be the very best stock at $40 per seed OR the seeds from a bag of weed you smoked.
You use what you can afford....
It all costs money BUT it doesn't have to cost A LOT of money.
One or two plants under a 250w HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamp or even under T5's (fluorescent tubes) can be achieved very inexpensively.
Plant pots and GOOD SOIL (much more expensive than a few spades of your back garden BUT cheap by comparison to the difference it will make to your plants).
Nutrients - again, get the best you can afford.
If I were you I would FIRST BUY A CANNIBIS GROWERS BIBLE (Growing Guide) and read, read, read....
Ask questions, make notes, draw diagrams, read some more, ask more questions, make more notes.....
and, if you're a professional grower, 40 years from now, you will STILL be reading and asking and reading some more.
You never know everything.
