Survival depends on how many roots have developed, and how many are left.
Chances are it is only stunted and it will continue to grow.
But to answer your question.. yes it harmed the plant.. Severely

This past grow I had to transplant my autoflower which is not recommended (but i had to).
I applied dried seaweed to the soil after I transplanted it (Check out my link for more details).
I know it sounds like a plug, but trust me, it helped my autoflower out with the transition.
