This is what I have been trying to say exactly! You were lucky enough to not experience the hermie gene being passed on though.

JesusOfCannabis is talking about Feminized seed. Sadly he was misinformed though.

If you take a TRUE female, and spray it with gibberellic acid it will pop male flowers. If you pollinate another TRUE female with this pollen you created...then the chances of getting females from those seeds are 90% or so.

A lot of breeders (our own Subcool being one of them) are entirely against this practice. The more I learn about the subject, and watch what is going on in my own grows...I am ALSO against it.

There are many feminized strains out there now that are extremely prone to be hermaphroditic now. Many are beginning to believe this is due to the way fem seed is made.

To answer the question about residual pollen in the grow room, I've read that it's usually non-viable after a few weeks at room temperature. By the time you get new plants started and they reach maturity, the pollen should be well past viability.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that question. I would not worry about residual pollen. If you are, just mist your room down with some water. It will deactivate any pollen that may be around..but as PinkPipe said...don't stress it.

HOWEVER,

If that is a genetic hermie, you are only going to up the chances of its children (seeds) being hermies as well. That is no mild hermie either, my guess is it is genetic.

If you have other females around, kill it and save them from being MASSIVELY seeded.

this is about day 5 of pluckin them things off im fighting a loosing battle with this i'll just let it run its course and write this down in the books as an learning expierience for my first time....

next time i will plant more the two seeds hopefuly things will turn out better!!!!!
