I think my plants have become rootbound.

Hey everybody,

My plants have been into flowering for about 2 weeks now and I'm pretty sure they're rootbound. :(

I can now see roots at the top of the pot poking through the soil and the leaves are starting to yellow.

Should I transplant them or will it stress them too much?

or cut the plastic bottom out of your container, and set it on top of another soil filled container, but DO NOT move the containers by the original/top container. only handle the bottom container.

You know, I'm wondering the same thing about my plant, sorta. I have it in a 2-3 gallon bucket, and the roots are already down to the bottom of the bucket poking out of the drain holes. The damn plant isn't that big at all, maybe 6-8 inches tall, but very bushy. Am I going to run into trouble down the road? Do the roots just shoot downwards instead of outwards? My plant is very, very healthy right now and I don't want it to get screwed up in flowering due to insufficent root space.

Alright, I transplanted them into some bigger pots, added soil and gave them a good watering. Anything else I should do?
