I think my girl is ready to harvest

The plant is a White Rhino and has been in flowering for 54 days. The hairs are about
60-70% orange and I had to sample. I cut one bud and quick dried it in the microwave. It didn't even smell like pot and it tasted awful ( green tasting) but it got me nicely buzzed so I guess it's ready. I sure hope the properly dried product tastes and smells better but it's definitely good stuff. Oh forgot to mention: This is my first grow and I have a few questions.
1. I have only recently been watering without nutes, should I water longer with just plain water and is that part of what I'm tasting and smelling?
2. Would it hurt to overwater at this stage as I have to leave town for a couple of days and don't have time to harvest until I get back?

As you grow closer to harvest you will need to stop watering. I let up on the water about six to seven days before I chop. If she doesn't smell like pot then she isn't ready. Backing off the nutes this far in flowering is good and do not over water. Post some pics so we can see how far along she is. :weed:

lol at microwaving bud ..

A week before harvest cut the nutes back to nothing and give it straight water .. you smoked a bud that was full of plant food still, give it time to flush that out of it's soil or growing medium before you attempt to smoke it, lmao.

lol yea you gotta cure it right to get the smell to come out more,it always tastes like shit in the microwave if it isnt already dank smelling

Looks like it could go another 2 weeks. & Instead of quick drying it in th microwave, set some nugs on the top of your HPS Hood, will dry out within 12-24 hours.

The quick dry I just did got me more stoned than what I have been paying 160 half/z for. It's supposed to be White Rhino which I believe is Indica and more of a body stone but I believe by harvesting a little early I'm getting a strong sativa stone. Just theory. Possible?

I'm going to try to make it a week - pretty close now.

pistils can change color due to other factors than it occurring naturally. what are the trichs like, I have a few girls on day 70 since 12/12 switch.. still cloudy trichs, it is annoying me.

It's really hard to get pictures because it's in a cramped closet. I have decided your were correct, it need a little more time. Even though it did get me buzzed I don't think it's quite ready. I also ran into my provider so I'm ok for now. But I am anxious to savor the fruits of my labor.
