I think it's finally happening...

you may want to think about adding microbes to your soil it also helps keep your ph in your soil in range,Mammoth P,is a great start to beneficial microbes, you have to feed the soil as well as your girls, dont get mycorizze confused with benefical microbes, yes use mycorizze, bbut ad microbes as well, good luck on your grow
Ok so when I water with my fish tank water. There is probably more beneficial bacteria in there than in any product you can buy according to the guys on cheap home grow on YouTube... So I will just add a watering with the fishtank water early in the grow and see what I get without a $20 bottle of mammoth p.

That fish and turtle water works some miracles, I've used it before. Sometimes, i bubble it for a few days, maybe add a little molasses.

Well it is definitely happening. The tent is up... And almost everything is ready. I have to mount the light, carbon filter and inline fan... I pulled the seeds out of the refugee today and I'm leaving them sit out for 24 hours to acclimate before I germinate. Tomorrow I will put the seeds in peat pellets for tomatoes. i have had great success germinating in the large burpee peat pellets meant for tomatoes. I use a heating pad under the tray. I will move the plants to their final pots a few days after I see leaves. I know people say to start autos in their final pots but this method of germination works so well for me I hate to try anything different. I will be ph'ing my water between 6.5 and 6.8 for this soil grow.

Glad to hear you have a heating pad, the heat really makes those seedlings go.
10 years ago i didn't have a heating pad... i placed the propagation tray on top of an electric baseboard heater that was set around 75 degrees on a thermostat. lol now i have the heating mat.

Ok so the Skittlez OG and the Green Crack have sprouted. Still waiting for the MBAPx3BOG to sprout but I am confident it's will be soon. I haven't hooked up the exhaust fan yet. The temps in the tent are in the high 80's so I think I'll be good when I get the exhaust fan in...

My humidity is in the low to med 20's so I ordered a programmable humidifier on Amazon. It will be here Monday. IMG_20200129_221301.jpg

I have never owned or run a fishtank....that said, the water for sure will have an ecosystem but will they be the same bacteria/fungi which form that symbiotic relationship with your roots? I really think the bacteria/fungi can be an understated part of having a healthy plant so just kinda throwing this out there.
I swear by this stuff but I use it in an RWDC. Half the time I just mix some with water and dump it in, no brewing...and for 12 bucks. It will outlast its expiration date.

mixing up the soil today. I will wait at least another day or 2 before I put the plants in their pots... but I want to have the soil mixed and in the pots so it is all ready to go and I can just pop the plants in there whenever I want. I am thinking if I put the plants in their soil before the humidifier shows up, I may place clear solo cups over the plants and just poke a couple holds in them to keep the humidity up a little for a day or 2 until the humidifier gets here on Monday. I suppose I could also skip the solo cups and just put some water in a tray and leave that open in the tent on the heating mat until the humidifier comes... maybe don't run the exhaust fan yet... just open a vent hole on top of the tent and turn the oscillating fan on.

Ok so I checked today and the Mephisto Man Bear Alien Pig x 3 Bears Og has broken the soils surface. So 3 and a half days after planting the seeds, we have 100% germination rate.

I also mixed up my super soil mix. 5lbs of mix with 1 bag of green lite. This allows me to put about 3 gallons of super soil in each of the 5 gallon pots and about 2 gallons of plain green lite. There is a ton of perlite in this mix. I reall like it so far. IMG_20200130_175322.jpg

Ok so after checking around I decided to go ahead and order the Mammoth P. It will be here this week. I may still water once or twice with the fishtank water but probably not more than that... I'm already using super soil... I don't want to over do it on the nitrogen.

I will probably put the plants in their final pots tonight or tomorrow night... My first few waterings will be with plain old well water ph'd to 6.5-6.8. I won't add any molasses, Mammoth P, or anything. I will wait until the plants are 2-3 weeks old before I water with fishtank water. I will try to get an updated picture tonight.

Decided to get the girls into their pots Tonight. I didn't want to risk leaving them in the peat pellets too long.
