At what point do you install a scrog?

should you LST your plants and then scrog them? Do you need to do both in limited space?

Do you let the plant grow through it then supercrop or do you supercrop and lay the scrog over top?

Do you scrog during veg or do you scrog during flowering?(which weeks)

Is the goal to have an even canopy or is it there to support the weight of the plants?

What is the purpose of a double scrog?

How high should plants get above the scrog?

I want to keep them short but it is not easy finding exact info.

Varys depending in your space and how many plants your puttin through the screen.

Scrog is basically lst right?

You don't need to supercrop to scrog, you just weave it through the net. You can supercrop though why not.

Do you scrog during veg or do you scrog during flowering?(which weeks)

Mostly veg and maybe the first couple weeks of flower til it stops stretching so much.

Is the goal to have an even canopy or is it there to support the weight of the plants?

Even canopy is the main goal but I've seen people that do it for support.

What is the purpose of a double scrog?

Maximizing space. It can be hard to evenly fill a whole net with a single plant so by the 2nd net things should be spread out well.

How high should plants get above the scrog?
Just the buds really

I want to keep them short but it is not easy finding exact info.

you can take a look at my journal if you want, I grow on an 8x4 with a double scrog

My answers are in order:

1. I top them first, sometimes twice (clones). I set the first scrog net at a certain height, and then ensure that all the plants are the same height when they reach it by bending the taller ones through the scrog. You will need to LST in limited space and even top or FIM, depends on your height and if you can raise the lights anymore.
2.I don't do supercropping myself but I will pinch the stems so the plants fall on the top scrog net if they over stretch. I don't supercrop because i have enough plants in my 8x4 (30) and I also top them. Different styles of growing for different folks.
3.The goal of my second net is two fold, to even out the canop and provide support for the lage colas so they don't fall over. Also I crop everything under the first net once they reach the second net. This puts the energy into bud production not parts of the plant getting no light.
4. See above.
5. Depends on your style.
6. Look up mainlining technique if you want to keep them small. I like big plants with large colas.

Thanks a lot for both of your inputs. Been lurking for a while and read many threads and looked at a bunch of picks and sometimes what I read and what I see are very different.
