Well if it was on TV it has to be true. Since its on the internet, its proof that its true.
Just kidding. We perceive colors based on the wavelength of light that is reflected (not absorbed) by a surface. Leaves are green because the green color wavelength of light is not absorbed by the leaf and reflects that color.
Because it is not absorbed, it cant even "see" it. That is why a green light is safe to use during sleepy time for flowering plants.
