I saw a GNAT.

So I just saw a gnat in my grow room. Its prob nothing but I need to prepare for the worst. I have a interlinked DWC 5 gallon setup that holds four in a straight line. I'm on day 17 of flowering. Has this happend to anybody else? What should i buy to kill these guys?

Also i need to prevent this from the happening again so i want to buy a screen of some sorts to stick on the front of the ducting/passive intake? I'm think a black t-shirt would work but i would like to use a real screen if possible. Any suggestions?

I thought gnats only grow in decaying organic matter, like soil or coco. How can they live in water? Or are they in your rockwool/hydroton? If you have an intake w/o any filtration maybe thats where it came from. I wouldn't worry much, just slap on your gf's panty hose or grab one of those "dust shrooms".

yeah, I'm thinking its not a big deal. I've only seen one so far. I did notice some mold on the rapid rooter. I wonder what could cause that and if its contributing to the gnat situation?

I tried and it got away. LOL. 6 years ago when i grew i ran into a huge spidermite problem which i ended up loosing tons of beautiful girls, and thats the reason why i try to get information early before its too late.

I remember saying its only on MITE,,,,,, yeah right.
