This year, I had the most beautiful plants I've ever had! Not a yellow leaf in sight at 2 1/2 months! I was so elated. Going out to the grow site was a pleasure, until yesterday.
Monday, I fertilized them for the first time (but, this didn't do it). They were put in Fox Farm fertilizer, which has nutrients in it, and then transplanted mid April in new soil, with new nutrients, so I didn't see a need to add anything. When I did, I only used 2 tspns vs 3, and fertilized 8 plants with the same amount I usually do 3-4, so I know they weren't fertilized.
Then, Tuesday, we sprayed for bugs as the leaves were being eaten, even though I saw very few bugs. I sprayed Camomile soap with neem oil. I would have sprayed it Monday, but the oil was solid from the cool air in the winter, so I had to put it in hot water for awhile... I've used this mixture before, so I don't know what happened, but when we went out there yesterday, I was almost in shock. The photos don't do it justice ( older Nikon...don't want to use the iPhone due to locations), but here they are. The plants are growing back, thank goodness, but if anyone knows why they did that this time, I'd sure like some opinions!
Oh, most of the leaves have affected veins, but some at the bottom are yellow with black spots? I forgot what that is.
