I need some information about this strain called ogre

Luckily, I used to know the guy who developed the strain. Sensi star is no where in it's lineage.

I used to be married, and the ex was friends with this freakishly huge body builder. Just so happened that this guy, on top of importing WAY too much HGH, was also a BIG time dealer, and as I would find out later, a talented breeder. Me being me and always interested in cannabis I got to know the guy real well. He showed me his op and we got to talking. He wouldnt get in depth but I do know that NYCD is part of the mix. All he would say about the rest is "you'll have to wonder..." he used to run a huge perpetual sog room and always had the exact same ogre, so I have no reason to doubt him. I have recently found it once again at a dispensary in the bay area and got me big bag.

Ogre has a very distinct smell, smoke and high. For me, its in the top 10 strains of all time. Dieselly, chemically smell, piney overtones, expando, dense smoke...lovely.

Hey man, when I started up my friend gave me Ogre, AK47, Lonestar Killer Queen cut, c99 and jackie o. I have brought it down to the ogre. The names perfect for it since it basically thrives through anything you can throw at it. Out of the bunch its the most PM resistant (that was the only mould problem I had was PM so I can't really say for anything else specifically), could handle the most nutes (4 days of 1800ppm without co2 and barely any leaf tip burn, the rest of the plants did not take it well. This is in RO water which = more nutrients than using tap), could handle the highest temps, most drought resistant and the yield was on par or slightly less than the AK47 but the AK isn't that great of a smoke in comparison IMO. The high was potent, I chopped it at 10% amber for more of a heady high and it was heady lol. It became Very very frosty week 4+, had a lysol/lemon thing going on and looks almost identical to yours with the red/purplish stems. This is all in F&D hydroton. She also reacts well to topping and gets 100% successful 4-6 nodes when I FIM 90% of the grow tip on the mothers. From my experience the main colas are better though so this would be great for SOG, it doesn't even stretch a lot. I would say it's less than a 2x stretch.

TBH I have not looked into its lineage or anything so I can't really help you out with much except for my personal experience! Good luck man it really is some great smoke and an all around great plant, especially for beginners.

Oh and I had a case of mites for 2 months because I was noob and spraying wrong. The ogre got hit by them too but would barely show any signs of it. Most mite resistant of the bunch in my room with the c99 being most susceptible.

Thanks man I appreciate that and did go through a successful harvest with the Ogre and it is excellent smoke and I will be growing more of it. I do agree with you in the sog which is why I picked this method and strain for my test run next grow which should start very soon. I will start a SOG thread dedicated to showing Ogre for the respect it deserves. I feel Ogre is a very nice strain to be growing and you are right. I have been through a lot with my plants on this run and they have done great for me. A lot of the Early Girls that grew along side my Ogre looked like hell by harvest but hung in there. Everything I could find says it is a Sensi Star Pheno type and no seeds only clones for it. From your pics it doesnt look like Ogre I have seen. They are fatter /denser large leaves. I grew Sensi Star long time ago and it looked just like your pics.

i was given some beans i was told were PURP OGRE SENSI STAR, grew them out had a few different phenos. but the one that really stood out was a sativa dom that grew crazy

fast with a shit load of trics. it was just covered with THC.. started looking into it and all i found said OGRE is a SENSI STAR PHENO...i still have that plant alive after 2 years

pluse some of the first beans and some f2's i made of them..and my plant does look some what like yours, its also the most smellyest plant ive ever grew, skunky,dieselly,

chem smell that leaves some bad cottonmouth and a SHIT taste in your mouth..and some real spacey smoke too..

That sounds like what I'm growing right now. I got a plant out of the bag of ogre seeds and it smelled like cotton candy so I am revegging er for sure.

I know this post is kind of old but for the record, Ogre is OG kush x banana x cindy 99. It is super delicious but lacks the THC content of the straight OG. Overall it is a pretty good strain. Tastes superb, yields well, and like these guys said, its not too picky.

ive heard ogre is related to chemdog, and is also called candychem. Delicious! either way i love the stuff!

ogre is in fact a large pheno of sensi star,i dont know your seeds were a result of a cross of this pheno to something else or what,but i do know that ogre is a very large pheno of sensi star.whoever said it does not yield well does not have the ogre pheno.i know have a cross of the ogre pheno with blockhead and that should be a total winner in every department.

i know this is a really old thread but id still like to update. i just bought the joint doctors ogre and critical ogre auto seeds. I've been researching this strain. seems there are 3 strains called ogre. the one i bought was the original. then theres the one that was also called sensi star. and another that was like og kush. the joint drs a sativa dominate cross of durban skunk and another well know sativa that i can't remember. the other 2 are indica dominate strains. can't wait to grow these out as they're supposed to be monster autos! they claim one of the biggest!
