You don't have to do anything but provide for basic needs of the plant. Topping is just an optional technique some people use where you cut the leader node of a seedling/clone after a certain point in growth to increase side-growth. Basically you get several smaller colas as opposed to one big one. You don't need to do this.

If you use 'miracle' grow on your plants, yes, you're going to want to flush the shit out of those mother fuckers at least before you cut. Or feed super super lightly... and what about bloom anyways? You don't have to do this in living soil but chemical salts, it's a good idea.

if your soil has time release nutes in it "flushing" is just gonna make it worse. you dont have to top either..

you can flower them at anytime, its pretty much up to you how tall you want them to get just keep in mind that a plant will double or sometimes triple in size after the switch to 12/12.

you could always transplant your plants into new soil without time release nutes
could i?i have transplanted them 2wice already cuz i underestimated grow pots space... i hear that to many transplants is bad... but either i dont have the money for the soil right now... has anyone ever grown all the way through mirclgrow and been successful?? the mg feeds up to 6 months that i have is mixed with mircl grow moisture controle.. so would the half and half mixture spread out the feeding??
